Some excellent points exposed in this story. I don’t completely agree with the author’s viewpoint but find his story both fascinating and engaging.

Narrators can make or break
Revisado: 03-20-24
In my humble opinion there are 3 distinct classes of Audiobook narrators: Readers, Narrators and Voice Actors. Unfortunately Connor O'Brien falls between the first two categories. He used 4 inflections over and over again while performing, not much distinction between characters and his pacing was amateurish.
Mr. Deaver's book deserved much better voice acting. The producer should have realized this in the beginning. Great story with disappointing narration.

I’m exhausted! After fighting several murthering great battles, having some of the Secrets wthe Ages revealed, I think I need a nap. Partlow and Aiello have teamed up to cap off a series ‘Earth at War,’ that is well worth the time invested in Six? books. Kudos Rick!

Historia
Earth is in turmoil. The enemy is bearing down on us with every warship they have, and our only allies are in chaos. Our one hope for survival is Andy Clanton - a hack science fiction writer trying to convince some aliens that humans are worth saving. It’s an uphill battle, because to the aliens, we are the monsters. We look just like their sworn enemies, the Tevynians, who’ve sworn to wipe out both our civilizations. When everything falls apart and the fate of the galaxy is on the line, can Andy Clanton pull our fat out of the fire?

I am enjoying this whole Earth at War series immensely. Scott Aiello is presenting it very well despite being unable to pronounce ‘musette’ but I’ll forgive him that foible. Partlow’s writing is masterful, his characters memorable and if his plotting isn’t as intricate and obtuse as some, I find them enjoyable.

Rollicking, Adrenaline Charged, Thought Provoking
Revisado: 11-17-23
I listened to the series as an omnibus edition, all 4 books in one. Marathon Audible session broken by sleep, nourishment and the occasional adult beverage. Characters are primo for Rick, sterling, believable and easy with which to identify. Rick combs in some serious other issues, honor, loyalty...much the same as you find in the Ring Trilogy. All in a highly ( and I do mean high!y) entertaining series. I recommend this series to all the Partlow fans, the Space Opera fans, the Saviors of the Galaxy fans...I'm not up on all the sub-genre categories but I can say I enjoyed the living stuff out of these four books. Mr. Brown gave a very good interpretation and brought the different characters to life in ways I suspect Rick liked.

Historia
The war with the Tahni has dragged on for over two years, taking its toll on the lives of all involved. On the Aphrodite colony, Marine turned cybernetic commando Ryan Hendrix is readying his civilian militia to make one final strike against the enemy, in what they know could be a suicide mission. Back in Commonwealth space, Travis Miller and his task force have finally been given clearance to take back the occupied colony system, but the Tahni have had a year to prepare their defenses and the price in blood will be dear.

This is the final book of the 4 book Holy War series by Rick Partlow. Fans of mil sci-fi are going to love this series and particularly love this book. It is very fast paced with some huge battles that are very well thought out and very well acted by Mr. Cronin.
Rick Partlow excels at creating characters with which the reader can identify.

Rick Partlow continues his excellent writing in this Revelation Holy Wars Book 3.
Fast paced, huge scope but good if read as a stand alone; although I dare any fan of mil sci-fi to stop at one book only. Rick’s sense of wry humor adds an infusion of lightness to the grim. Highly Recommended.

Historia
Travis Miller, his image reformed from the moron who screwed up our first contact with aliens to one of the heroes of the Battle for Eden, is given a new assignment: Retake the occupied colony of Brigantia. Losing it would be a glancing blow to the Tahni Imperium, but it would be Earth’s first solid strike against them, a chance to go on the offensive. Ryan Hendrix and the Fleet Marines will be the tip of the spear, outfitted with their new Aegis-powered armor, while Jessica Leer and her Fleet Strike fighter squadron clear the way for the Marines and their landers.

Grab It Now!
Revisado: 11-08-23
Rick Partlow continues his excellent series 'Holy War' which details the First Tahni-Commonwealth War in Judgement Day with the characters we met in Genesis, Holy War Book 1.
Consistent in setting, these books explore and explain actions referred to in later books while remaining wonderful stand-alone novels. But like salted peanuts, you won't want to stop at just one.
Rick has the trick of successful writers of being able to create realistic, likeable characters that react in ways consistent and believable ways. The Partlow humor adds a great sauce to the content. Plus he's got a great backlist. Cronin does an award winning job of presenting the book(s) through the Audible medium.

Revisado: 11-05-23
Disclaimer: I’ve been a fan of Rick Partlow’s for a while now.
Fast paced, adrenaline laced storyline in the Tahni-Commonwealth universe. This is Rick’s playground that we are fortunate enough to share.
Spiced with the Partlow sense of humor, this echoes in the minds of those who have served while still being understandable to those not as familiar with mil acronyms. Rick catapults himself into the ranks of the ‘grab-it-now’ authors whose works we look for.
