Historia
Before men ruled the earth, there were wolves. Once abundant in North America, these majestic creatures were hunted to near extinction in the lower 48 states by the 1920s. But in recent decades, conservationists have brought wolves back to the Rockies, igniting a battle over the very soul of the West. With novelistic detail, Nate Blakeslee tells the gripping story of one of these wolves, O-Six, a charismatic alpha female named for the year of her birth.

Very vivid story telling
Revisado: 01-25-25
I’ve visited Yellowstone and know some of the locations in the story, watching wolves from some of the same areas as the characters in the story, so this story painted a very vivid picture in my mind.

Historia
Throughout history, rivers have been our foremost source of fresh water both for agriculture and for individual consumption, but now economists say that by 2025 water scarcity will cut global food production by more than the current U.S. grain harvest. In this groundbreaking book, veteran science correspondent Fred Pearce focuses on the dire state of the world's rivers to provide our most complete portrait yet of the growing world water crisis and its ramifications for us all.

Historia
During a time when most wild animals are experiencing decline in the face of development and climate change, the intrepid mountain lion - also known as a puma, a cougar, and by many other names - has experienced reinvigoration as well as expansion of territory. What makes this cat, the fourth carnivore in the food chain - just ahead of humans - so resilient and resourceful? And what can conservationists and wild life managers learn from them about the web of biodiversity that is in desperate need of protection?

As a Professional Wildlife Biologist myself, there was an excellent mixture of science and story to maintain interest, while covering the entirety of the Americas from the perspective of the Cougar. Loved it!

Historia
In 2009, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band performed at the Super Bowl's halftime show. The experience was so exhilarating that Bruce decided to write about it. That's how this extraordinary autobiography began. Over the past seven years, Bruce Springsteen has privately devoted himself to writing the story of his life, bringing to this audio the same honesty, humor, and originality found in his songs.

Revisado: 09-18-19
A must listen for any Boss fan, made even better by being in his own voice.
Fills in a lot of the spaces in his music by revealing details of his upbringing, early band days and personality that created the hardest driving rock and roller you ever heard.
