Historia
It's winter in the Bavarian village of Leavenworth, Washington, which for local brewmaster Sloan Krause means lots of layers, pine and citrus-flavored craft beers, and getting the new guest rooms at Nitro into pristine condition before visitors flood in for IceFest - a local tradition filled with fireworks, ice carving, and winter games of all varieties. But Sloan and her boss Garrett quickly learn that being brewkeepers turned innkeepers may not be as idyllic as it sounded.

Good summer entertainment
Revisado: 06-29-24
It’s a comfortable story, interesting facts about microbrewery and some recipes, but certainly not great literature.
The suspenseful plot points were trite, predictable, and overblown.
Still, all in all, good storytelling for a long summer evening.

Historia
It's just a small story really, about, among other things, a girl, some words, an accordionist, some fanatical Germans, a Jewish fist-fighter, and quite a lot of thievery. Set during World War II in Germany, Markus Zusak's groundbreaking new novel is the story of Liesel Meminger, a foster girl living outside of Munich. Liesel scratches out a meager existence for herself by stealing when she encounters something she can't resist: books.

An amazing story.
Revisado: 05-12-24
The story was beautiful, poignant, cruel, and breathtaking. The kind of book that lingers in your mind throughout the day. And one I will want to go back to many times.
In addition; the excellent narration brought the story to life-bravo!

Great story, horrible narration
Revisado: 09-02-23
The story is great, good characters, well researched, entertaining and suspenseful.
It’s a shame so much is lost because of the narration.
With so many great performers available why chose a narrator with such a flat delivery?

Historia
"I’m James Taylor and I’m a professional autobiographer", says the celebrated folk singer at the start of this tender audio memoir. Through decades of music by one of the best-selling musicians of all time, who created classics like "Fire and Rain" and "Carolina in My Mind", James Taylor has doled out his history in the poetry of his work. Taylor says his early life is, "the source of many of my songs", and Break Shot is a tour of his first 21 years in rich, new detail.

Brilliant
Revisado: 03-07-20
The personal story of almost any artist is interesting, often spellbinding. I’ve been listening to James Taylor for many decades now, hearing, from himself, his early journey is thrilling but more than that, it brings back many of my own 60’s memories. Thank you for this.
