Historia
Rinda Sue McCarthy, born at the precise moment the atomic bomb burst over Hiroshima, sits in a Mexican jail awaiting execution by firing squad. As the Mexican soldiers practice their marksmanship outside her cell, she writes her confession: a tale of the crimes committed against her by the leaders of a Conspiracy She Is Not At Liberty To Name, and her murderous, but utterly apt revenge. Who are They? Old boyfriends, professors, doctors, her former husband.

Historia
The Grand Hotel is a horror novel by esteemed best-selling author Scott Kenemore ( Zombie, Ohio) that takes the reader on a thrilling ride through an interconnected series of stories narrated by the desk clerk and the residents of the hotel itself. And while it is not known whether or not the desk clerk is actually the devil incarnate, it is strange that so many visitors who come for a tour of the hotel have a way of never leaving.

This is the first time I have tried to find more books by a narrator rather than by an author.

Great character development, exciting new universe of good and evil forces. Not another version of the same—its own new thing. Good stuff!

Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

Master storyteller.
Revisado: 11-30-22
This audiobook is exactly like having a story written by a master-craftsman of an author read by a fantastic storyteller. Because that is actually what it is. Extremely entertaining, the characters become real. Worth buying for certain!

Cuts off before end. Abrupt cliffhanger.
Revisado: 06-29-22
Seems to be missing the final chapter. It isn’t, but it has the strangest last sentence. It is an intentional cliffhanger, as the book has a sequel.

Complete surprise!
Revisado: 12-13-21
I absolutely was smitten with this story! I love it. I love the main character. I love the way the community tries to help him. I love his stubborn resistance to threats and the way he would rather die than act contrary to his own convictions. I love the way this is the most intimate romantic story—without ever having being blatant, graphic, or crude. It explores the healing of deep, painful wounds without talking a lot about them. It was masterful.
