Historia
In April 1992 a young man from a well-to-do family hitchhiked to Alaska and walked alone into the wilderness north of Mt. McKinley. His name was Christopher Johnson McCandless. He had given $25,000 in savings to charity, abandoned his car and most of his possessions, burned all the cash in his wallet, and invented a new life for himself.

It started out OK and then he just started going to a bunch of stories of other guys that went to the wild and died one blew his head off kind of annoying actually.

Historia
Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar began in 1949 as a typical slam-bang detective series, and though consistently well written and acted, the series never really captured an enthusiastic audience. However, in the fall of 1955, Bob Bailey took over the title role; veteran director Jack Johnstone and writers John Dawson, Robert Ryf, and Les Crutchfield joined the production team; and the series was transformed into a quarter-hour, five-a-week strip show.

Good Stories - too many adds
Revisado: 08-15-16
Johnny Dollar is a great series. A couple of the later later stories in this series have a ton of adds. The first time you hear it, its kind of cool as it is a vintage add. But the adds/intro's literally take up as much time as the story on a couple of them. The adds/intro's probably take up an hour or more of the time on this recording.

Historia
"The tale of Carl Wake and the hurricane that was waiting for him goes straight to the heart of the greatest sea stories: they are not about man against the sea, but man against himself. John Kretschmer's audiobook is as perfectly shaped and flawlessly written as such a story can be. In addition to being the best depiction I have ever listened to of what it is like to be inside a hurricane at sea, At the Mercy of the Sea is as moving a story of a man's failure and redemption as can be found anywhere in the literature of the sea. This audiobook is surely destined to become a classic."

This book is ok at times. I did find myself skipping a few chapters at the end just to get through it.

Historia
From the very beginning, Orson was a misfit. Like all border collies, he needed to work. But since there weren't any sheep available for herding in the New Jersey suburbs, Orson instead tried to corral school buses, garbages trucks, and skateboarding kids. So Katz pulled up stakes and moved to a farm in upstate New York. There, Orson improved dramatically - until the day he started nipping people. The nips soon turned to bites, forcing Katz to face an incredibly painful decision.

Really Bad Story
Revisado: 01-04-16
This book is basically about a really poorly behaved dog that bites people. The owner has to decide weather or not to put it down. It was painful to listen to until the last couple chapters when it got interesting.

Too much background for a Great Story
Revisado: 06-10-15
I bought this audio book as my favorite movie of all time is Les Mis with Liam Neeson.(no singing) I finally gave up after I listed to several chapters of war background. This is 60 hours but is really is 15 hour story with 45 hours of background of all sorts of stuff. Some is interesting but I finally stopped listening after about 24 hours.

Historia
Born in 1903, and until his death in 2003, Bob Hope was the only entertainer to achieve top-rated success in every major mass-entertainment medium, from vaudeville to television and everything in between. He virtually invented modern stand-up comedy. His tours to entertain US troops and patriotic radio broadcasts, along with his all-American, brash-but-cowardly movie character, helped to ease the nation's jitters during the stressful days of World War II.

Historia
Robyn Davidson made the perilous journey across 1,700 miles of hostile Australian desert to the sea, with only four camels and a dog for company. Enduring sweltering heat, fending off poisonous snakes and lecherous men, chasing her camels when they get skittish and nursing them when they are injured, Davidson emerges as an extraordinarily courageous heroine driven by a love of Australia's landscape, an empathy for its indigenous people, and a willingness to cast away the trappings of her former identity.

It was Okay.
Revisado: 04-19-15
The book(Audio book by Audible) was okay. It was slow moving. I found myself wishing it was over so I could move on to another audio book. It did have a nice message at the end of the story about following your dreams, but that's about it.
