Historia
A highly acclaimed author, M. John Harrison is well known for his reality-bending tales. In this sci-fi noir, the physics-defying Saudade Event Site is a place to find strange landscapes and seemingly impossible physical phenomena - perfect for tourism. Into this environment comes Vic Serotonin, a "travel agent" whose newest client is a mysterious woman with a hidden agenda.

Could Not Finish
Revisado: 12-18-11
Narrator did not make significant vocal distinction among the characters. Storyline was too drawn out and jumped around so much that, combined with the problems with the narration, I lost interest after an hour or so.

Narrator issues
Revisado: 07-04-08
The book appears to be reasonably well-written but the listening experience is marred by the narrator. She reads very s-l-o-w-l-y and does not make much of an attempt to distinguish the characters by change of voice so it is easy to get confused as to whom is speaking. This also flattens any repartee between the characters and any attempt at humor. If you like romance mysteries set in the Regency period of England, Kate Reading's readings of the Pink Carnation series by Lauren Willig are a much better choice.
