What a treasure! What a treat! At times laugh out loud hilarious, at other times sad and poignant. These early works of Dickens are indicative and a prescient foretelling of the genius that would be shorty revealed later. Best read with an Oxford English Dictionary on hand as Dickens vocabulary is wide and breathtaking and even includes portmanteau words. Some of the humor, sarcasm and insight will be lost on you if you don't take the time to understand the cultural references which can easily be found in various places on the web devoted to his works. Do yourself a favor and devote the time needed to fully absorb and comprehend Regency and early Victorian London facts, figures, fallacies and customs as their knowledge adds immensely to the pleasure you will derive from fully understanding this masterful collection of sketches and stories. Peter Joyce is an amazing one-man narrative tour-de-force. He adds just the right amount of narrative pauses, accents, and emphases.

Everybody, Always is one of those few books that will transform your life if you learn its lessons and put them into practice. The best way to do this is to purchase the accompanying study guide that is sold separately and work through every exercise. Even better, practice its lessons in a small group setting. This book will teach you how to not just agree with Jesus but to actually follow him. You'll learn how to love as Jesus loves. To accept people the way Jesus accepts them, unconditionally. If you let him, the Holy Spirit will use Bob to speak to both your head and heart as God continually transforms you into the image of his beloved son, Jesus Christ. You will learn to love Everybody, Always

I thoroughly enjoyed this story--and I'm 63 years old! the narration was spot-on. the story kept me interested. although a little bit predictable oh, it wasn't enough to detract from the story because it was so well written and so well performed. the ending hinted at a possible sequel. let's hope these writers and performers get it second chance entertaining us

I laughed, snickered, and chuckled throughout most of these sketches. Dickens London seen through his eyes paints a fantastic yet warm portrait of people and places that burn into your memory. The good, the bad and the ugly--nothing escapes his notice or his satirization. Loved Peter Joyce's British narration. Near perfect emphasis, tone, and individuation of characters. Highly recommend!
