Historia
Was Jason the monster who bludgeoned his beautiful wife to death, leaving his toddler alone for hours to walk through her blood? If so - would he get away with it? Murder on Birchleaf Drive documents the gripping tale of a family’s marathon quest for justice, confounding crime scene evidence, the persistence of law enforcement officers, and riveting courtroom combat.

very mediocre
Revisado: 03-07-24
1. his accents especially a woman's long island accent are very annoying and inaccurate.
2. very repetitious-sometimes the same thing said in detail three times.
3. much too tediously detailed; author has to learn to be more concise
His other two books much better written and more enjoyable.

Historia
Northern California, during the violent end of the 1960s. At the start of summer, a lonely and thoughtful teenager, Evie Boyd, sees a group of girls in the park and is immediately caught by their freedom, their careless dress, their dangerous aura of abandon. Soon Evie is in thrall to Suzanne, a mesmerizing older girl, and is drawn into the circle of a soon-to-be infamous cult and the man who is its charismatic leader.

Proofreading anyone?
Revisado: 08-21-23
Through a couple of chapters and Evie's bicycle has broken down (chain fell off). The author calls a bicycle sprocket a bearing and, then, a sprocket a spoke; very grating for a seasoned biker to read. She should have googled "parts of a bicycle" when she was writing the chapter.
I also find that the author believes that in order to keep the reader's interest she has to sprinkle sexual references every few pages.

Historia
With the age of voyages of discovery in the 15th century, the curtain of history slowly came down on the late Middle Ages. Portuguese and Spanish seafarers set out to remeasure the dimensions of the earth. Numerous spices and fruits, which we would hardly be able to do without today, found their way to Europe for the first time. Columbus discovered America in 1492 on his quest for India. Six years later, it was left to Vasco da Gama to travel through the sea route to India sought by Columbus on the eastern route around Africa.

Mispronunciation Anyone
Revisado: 04-20-23
1. I have not ever listened to a book with more mispronunciations. E.G. viceroy as vissaroy; Borneo with the emphasis on the second syllable; verdant with the emphasis on the second syllable. Every couple of minutes a mispronunciation. My 12 yr. old would not have made these mistakes. A very well written book; however, the mispronunciations were constant and very distracting.
2.) Where is the "proofreading" of these narrations. Doesn't management listen to the narration before uploading?

Historia
By August 1968, the American space program was in danger of failing in its two most important objectives: to land a man on the moon by President Kennedy's end-of-decade deadline and to triumph over the Soviets in space. With its back against the wall, NASA made an almost unimaginable leap: It would scrap its usual methodical approach and risk everything on a sudden launch, sending the first men in history to the moon - in just four months.

overall good with a caveat
Revisado: 03-24-23
I found it very well written; only complaint I had was too much commentary/filler on the astronaut's families: "bobby and tommy borman got into a fight and one send the other to the hospital; Susan Berman scolded on the one" How can you get into a fight when Daddy is coming home from the moon" I understand "fleshing out" the famiies to give context but sometimes entire chapters were dedicated to the family goings on (overdone/boring).
