Historia
Deep down here by the dark water lived old Gollum, a small slimy creature. I don’t know where he came from, nor who or what he was. He was Gollum—as dark as darkness, except for two big round pale eyes in his thin face. He had a little boat, and he rowed about quite quietly on the lake; for lake it was, wide and deep and deadly cold.

Amazing performance by Andy Serkis
Revisado: 03-05-21
I have read this story at least twice before. Andy really brought it to life.

The History of the Mongol Empire!
Revisado: 03-20-20
I chose to listen to this because I knew nothing about Gehghis Khan or the Mongol Empire. This book far surpassed my expectations. If possible I would listen to the afterward first to gain an appreciation of all the research that went into this work. Be sure you don't skip it! I see that Weatherford has authored at least 5 more books on the Mongols, guess I'll have to check them out as well.

An excellent introduction to Tosca Lee
Revisado: 09-13-19
I noticed that Tosca Lee coauthored a series of books with Ted Dekker that I listened to. I liked those books, so finally I picked a book that she authored on her own. It is taken from current news. Can't wait for the next book. Really liked the reader as well.

Historia
In 1793 William Smith, a canal digger, made a startling discovery that was to turn the fledgling science of the history of the earth - and a central plank of established Christian religion - on its head. He noticed that the rocks he was excavating were arranged in layers; more important, he could see quite clearly that the fossils found in one layer were very different from those found in another. And out of that realization came an epiphany.

As a geologist i found this book fascinating. I loved it. It does not read as a text book.
