Good book and easy listen//no spoilers
Revisado: 09-18-23
Pete Nealen does a good job with this series. I do enjoy the other series he has written.
This particular book has a good lead in and plenty of background with character development.
I'm thankful we have vet's moving into fiction without a lot of fantasy stuff.
Steve Marvel does a good job and makes this easy a pleasant listen.
I listen at 1.1x speed now FYSA. Or faster depending on reader.
Nealen has a good blend of backgrounds and characters depicting the contractor world of employment.
Nice detail on the seedy backside of some of these companies and outfits.
He does a good job of weaving in all the criminal elements and how a PMC has to be on contract.

Lennox is killing it!
Revisado: 04-26-23
I've been a listener since the beginning. Sam DP is a great narrator and I shop around for his other productions. KBM has this series locked up. Yet, I'd like to see it move into a new genre of time between the world wars. Maybe branch into some Brit spy genre? Yet agree with many others, the supporting cast make a great tale. Swift becomes a bit strident and over-bearing at times, yet that may be what KBM is shooting for? What do I know, just an avid listener. Cheerio! MT1334

Historia
With President Anthony Cook convinced that Mitch Rapp poses a mortal threat to him, CIA Director Irene Kennedy is forced to construct a truce between the two men. The terms are simple: Rapp agrees to leave the country and stay in plain sight for as long as Cook controls the White House. In exchange, the administration agrees not to make any moves against him. This fragile détente holds until Cook’s power-hungry security adviser convinces him that Rapp has no intention of honoring their agreement. To put him on the defensive, they leak the identity of his partner, Claudia Gould.

Can't judge a book by it's cover (or other reviews
Revisado: 10-01-22
So after reading pre-release reviews I had trepidation going into this. I've listened to every Rapp book.
Mill's is as close to VF as you could possibly make Rapp & crew in this book.
You've all read the spoilers blah blah word word etc etc.
Point is,
Rapp is Rapp in this novel.
Irene is Irene in this novel.
Scott is a better Scott in this novel (I know, hard to believe!)
Claudia is Claudia.
Anna is an awesome Anna in this book.
Mitch is where he is expected to be in his late 40's pushing 50.
So are Scott and the boys.
I listened to this in two days. Couldn't stop myself. It was just that good. Bravo Kyle Mills!
I pray they get some new narrator as good as George Guidall..... Ray Porter; R.C. Bray.... someone other than Scott Brick.... FWIW...
George is in his 80's now and does few books much longer.... so they may be shopping around now.
Just saying, this was well worth the wait and Mill's has captured much of the current political environment and atmosphere in this novel and done well. Makes you step back and think. Great story line for the Rapp series.
Let us all wish him well and keep the Rapp universe ticking along....
Cheers

Historia
In this sequel to Those Who Dare, US Major John Randal, Commander of Strategic Raiding Forces is back, leading a crew of British Commandos, Royal Marines, and Royal Navy raiders on bigger and bolder missions to foil Hitler's Third Reich. Off the Gold Coast colony in Africa, the Germans are operating a naval intelligence ring that gathers information about British convoys in the southern sea lane. Couriers carry the data to nearby Rio Bonita, a tiny Portuguese island protectorate, whence they are broadcast to Nazi U-boats and surface raiders from a clandestine radio station onboard one of three interned enemy ships.

Very similar to another well known author
Revisado: 11-04-21
This is a great series and this is a very good adventure book. Very similar in style to WEB G in many ways. YET, way more better in not spending half a chapter inaccurately recapturing previous books and characters. The plots are well done, so far, there are a couple of diversions that are enjoyable so go along for the ride. Narrator does a great job. I listen to most books at 1.1x and that helps a bit. Good editing.
All in it is a very enjoyable series and this one is well done.

I really appreciate the effort to get these Executioner audio books out. Superb performance. Good production and editing. We've all listened to poorly edited and managed performances yet these are well done. If you enjoyed the Executioner back in the day these are for you.
Please produce the rest of the series.

Basil St. Florian is an accomplished agent in the British Army, tasked with dozens of dangerous missions for crown and country across the globe. But his current mission, going undercover in Nazi-occupied France during World War II, might be his toughest assignment yet. He will be searching for an ecclesiastic manuscript that doesn't officially exist, one that genius professor Alan Turing believes may hold the key to a code that could prevent the death of millions and possibly even end the war.

A great author is a great author.
Revisado: 05-11-21
To begin I like this genre. Hunter writes a great story weaving in the mission preparation and character development into the story line. He brings in many different parts of history that we did gain knowledge of after the war, yet it only adds to the story.
Don't pass this one up if you're looking for more repeats of Bob Lee. This is a good listen. The narrator does a great job with british, german and french voices and is easy to follow. Good job all the way around.

Historia
There's a damsel in distress and accusations of attempted murder flying around, but it's not in the comfortable confines of the English countryside; it's in the very distant city of Damascus. Lennox must go and investigate, although he's not too keen on exotic locations, and his old retainer Greggs is distinctly averse to the very idea. Nevertheless, ex-Chief Inspector Swift persuades them, and they reach the ancient city to discover a movie crew, a spy, and a couple of mysterious ladies.

Ms Mehuhin has a great series going. So good, I recommended to my mother.
Fabulous story, and stories in this series.
Would love to see this as an Amazon series!
This was such a good adventure detective mystery story and the whole series.
I can't recommend them highly enough. Pure listening enjoyment.
Really, really well written and researched.
Great summer distraction. I wish she could pump out two a year they are so good.
This narrator is outstanding. I will search out more of his Audibles.
Great decision on the author and publisher to use SDP. No one could bring Lennox to voice better than he.
WELL DONE! Bravo! Definitely a second listen!!

Our world is plagued by the devious schemes of disguised cheaters and thieves. The worst of these frauds are perpetrated by prominent figures - powerful people with sincere smiles, boundless ambitions, and flexible souls. They play on hope, fear, and pride while stealing billions right before our eyes. This is the story of one such group. Although thoroughly unpredictable, it’s inspired by true events.

Meh, won't get a second listen
Revisado: 07-15-20
I like most of the Tigner books. Good escapism.
This one just didn't grab me.
Achilles' only answer is to climb every obstacle. Ok, seals have to swim in. Just his thing.
This one is a bit far fetched. I didn't see the spoiler theme. It was that far-fetched.
Kinda hard to stretch. Too much psych babble.
Literally skipped chapters and didn't miss the plot. He lost me along the way. For 12 hrs.
Brick is Brick.
FWIW, good enough. Summer beach listen.
I think Tigner can do better.
