She said yes to Morelli. She said yes to Ranger. Now Stephanie Plum has two fiancés and no idea what to do about it. But the way things are going, she might not live long enough to marry anyone. While Stephanie stalls for time, she buries herself in her work as a bounty hunter, tracking down an unusually varied assortment of fugitives from justice. There’s Eugene Fleck, a seemingly sweet online influencer who might also be YouTube star Robin Hoodie, masked hero to the homeless, who hijacks delivery trucks and distributes their contents to the needy.

Veronica Woodworth left her estate to her granddaughter, Elsie, when she passed away. Now, with the money from the inheritance, Elsie could open her very own flower shop. Her best friend, Dayton, thought the manor guest house would make the perfect bed and breakfast. Soon after they arrived, the house cat led Elsie right to the missing butler, murdered. All cats could be weird sometimes, but Florent seemed to be weird most of the time. Florent led Elsie straight to a hidden room in the kitchen and even helped her figure out how to open the door. Historia
Verily, the story Biff has to tell is a miraculous one, filled with remarkable journeys, magic, healings, kung fu, corpse reanimations, demons, and hot babes. Even the considerable wiles and devotion of the Savior's pal may not be enough to divert Joshua from his tragic destiny. But there's no one who loves Josh more (except maybe "Maggie," Mary of Magdalan) and Biff isn't about to let his extraordinary pal suffer and ascend without a fight.

I did finish it but either I wasn't in the mood for it or the story was just too confused. The main character starts out being aimless and a bit of an opportunist and then he is somehow turned into a focused hero.

Brilliant and engrossing story
Revisado: 03-29-19
I enjoyed the carefully plotted tale which hady was unexpected but believable twists so that I kept reading after I should have been asleep. The main character who is also the narrator etells the story from her 13 year-old perspective that accurately reflects what an adult would recognize. I actually gave this book 5 stars, but my phone wouldn’t accept them.

Historia
Vampyres don't exist. They absolutely do not exist. At least I didn't think they did 'til I tried to quit smoking and ended up Undead. Who in the hell did I screw over in a former life that my getting healthy equates with dead? Now I'm a Vampyre. Yes, we exist whether we want to or not. However, I have to admit, the perks aren't bad. My girls no longer jiggle, my ass is higher than a kite, and the latest Prada keeps finding its way to my wardrobe.

Blech!
Revisado: 02-18-16
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
This book was terrible. The plot was sophomoric. It just wasn't for me.
Has Fashionably Dead turned you off from other books in this genre?
Yes
What didn’t you like about Jessica Almasy’s performance?
She was ok, sort of valley girl sounding.
What character would you cut from Fashionably Dead?
The monster babies were just creepy and pointless.
Any additional comments?
I really regret purchasing this book.

Historia
Death and decapitation seem to go hand in hand in the Devon village of Aller. When the first victim's head is sent floating down the river, the village's rural calm is shattered. Soon the corpses are multiplying and the entire community is involved in the murder hunt. While the rector, the major, the police and a journalist, desperate for the scoop of the century, chase false trails, it is left to Gervase Fen, Oxford don and amateur criminologist, to uncover the sordid truth.

A disappointment
Revisado: 10-31-13
Would you try another book from Edmund Crispin and/or Philip Bird?
no. It was hard to keep track of the characters and frankly they just weren't very interesting.
Has Glimpses of the Moon turned you off from other books in this genre?
no
How could the performance have been better?
I bought it to listen to on a long trip with my husband, he couldn't understand the British accent of the reader. We haven't had this problem before with British narrators. I wish I hadn't wasted my credit on this book.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
There wasn't any cursing.
