Historia
Inheriting your uncle's supervillain business is more complicated than you might think. Particularly when you discover who's running the place. Charlie's life is going nowhere fast. A divorced substitute teacher living with his cat in a house his siblings want to sell, all he wants is to open a pub downtown, if only the bank will approve his loan. Then his long-lost uncle Jake dies and leaves his supervillain business (complete with island volcano lair) to Charlie. But becoming a supervillain isn't all giant laser death rays and lava pits.

Nice premise performance wasn't my style
Revisado: 07-30-24
most people seemed to like the performance very much, so I may be in the minority here, I'm about half way in, the idea and story are really interesting but the delivery throws me off, he emphasises odd parts of the sentences and a bit too excited at times, a bit too expressive/dramatic, would have preferred a more toned down reading. check the sample, see how it feels, you may be in the majority and love it, or you may be like me and struggle with it.

Historia
The Discworld is in danger, heading towards a seemingly inevitable collision with a malevolent red star, its magic fading. It needs a hero, and fast. What it doesn't need is Rincewind, an inept and cowardly wizard who is still recovering from the trauma of falling off the edge of the world. Or Twoflower, the well-meaning tourist whose luggage has a mind (and legs) of its own.

My Five year old loves the songs
Revisado: 05-19-22
the stories are folk tales from different countries so your kid probably hasn't heard them yet. my 5 year old son loves these stories and he remembers the songs they sing and recites them every now and again.
my only issue, and this really is my issue, my son doesn't care at all, the audio quality is lower than what you will find here on audible, it's kind of metallic like an old recording. but then again, it doesn't seem to bother him.

A decent story ruined by inadequate read
Revisado: 12-19-19
Although the story seemed well written, I had trouble enjoying it as the narration was poor, the voices done for the characters did little to set them apart as he seemed to recycle them. The incorrect pronunciation of names was very annoying, specifically how he said sylvanas like "sil vaan aas" I have not yet finished the book and I usually only review a book after completing it but I felt compelled to write this review now.
