Such passion and understanding, since she is a very popular dog behaviorial trainer, with years of experience working with dogs, she knew just how to bring these stories alive. And the variety of character's and dialect's, show's that she is a gifted voice actress!

Wow, what an exiting adventure.
Revisado: 12-24-15
What made the experience of listening to Reused the most enjoyable?
The narrator brought the characters to life, you felt like you were really there. I found my self emotionally glued, and found it hard to stop listening to it!
What other book might you compare Reused to and why?
I found it very similar to the movie, the Maze Runner, both the first and second movie. It is similar in the sense that they are put in a situation, that is out of their control. This bonds their relationships, and makes them use their imagination's to try to resolve their predicament. They have to make a lot of hard decisions, in very dangerous, situations.
What about Patricia Hoeksema’s performance did you like?
Her range, going from nurturing mother, to teen, then to child, and then being able to switch up to rough soldiers and romantic males was amazing. She was very expressive, with a vast vocal range and excellent diction, some scenes even brought you to tears, others made you laugh. I am looking forward to hearing more of her work.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Definitely, although it would be better in two or three.
Any additional comments?
I'm a big fan of "what if" book. The bleak landscape that confronts the survivors and their will to live, battling the unknown and even more frightening, the known is heart wrenching. Robin Tidwell builds in wonderful relationships, a human side of survival which makes us care that much more. This is a breath-holding drama with moments of darkness yet these are characters we care about and want to see pull through. It is that mix of humanity and harshness that gives its power.
Bottom line - Terrific, relatable, characters you want to see make it through (and a GREAT mother/daughter relationship between our lead and a young survivor) and a world that's both scarily real and something you pray you never have to face yourself. though this was a serious subject of this terrible virus, Vador, it is a story that I wouldn't mind having the family listening to it as well. I'm sure it would inspire many conversations, on a long car drive!

Survival had become a way of life since Co-opComm first launched VADER. Thirteen years had passed, and yet Abby remained.... She and the others prevailed where many had surrendered. And died. Abby is tired. Tired of running and hiding. Tired of struggling, tired of fighting. Ultratron has a new secret weapon - a better, improved version. And the government-sponsored company has a new target, a more heinous plan.

Couldn't put it down! It might happen to us!
Revisado: 12-20-15
Would you consider the audio edition of Recycled to be better than the print version?
Yes. It makes you feel like you are really there, and you find yourself rooting for the character's.
What other book might you compare Recycled to and why?
Walking of the Dead without the zombies.
What does Don Hoeksema bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Loved this story.....and expertly narrated. The story captures your attention from the start and you are compelled to keep reading. He does a great job bringing the character's to life.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Beware!
Any additional comments?
This is like a PG zombie book, without the zombies. A really nice story, but not too nice, that you could play without embarrassment, with any of your friends or family around. This is what would happen if cults were aloud to rule. What would you do, conform for your safety or fight? Internal questions, you will find yourself asking.

Historia
Growing up in a single parent home with a father that inspired perseverance and fairness, Marques Ogden learned how to define his values and set goals. Ogden attended Howard University from 1998-2002, where he played Division I football. He followed his dream and his brother Jonathan's footsteps, eventually getting drafted into the NFL in 2003. Overall, he played for five years as an offensive lineman with the Titans, Bills, Ravens and Jaguars. Even during the off season, Ogden helped train football players in Europe, both physically and mentally. At the age of 27, he founded a construction company called Kayden Premier Enterprises, a business that grew rapidly in its first few years, but Ogden and the business eventually went bankrupt, after Ogden loss almost two million dollars on one project in a time period just under 90 days. At his darkest point, the NFL came in and helped Ogden restructure his life. With hard work and determination, he became a motivational speaker and marketing leader, helping to build others up to succeed. Through it all, Ogden dealt with his own personal demons of drinking and gambling to make it regardless of obstacles that were in his path!

Moving and Heartfelt True Story
Revisado: 11-12-15
Would you listen to Sleepless Nights again? Why?
Absolutely! There are so many life lessons in there, I would recommend young people, especially to learn from other's experiences, instead of the hard way, by reading and sharing this book.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Sleepless Nights?
I was so moved by the love and respect he had for his father, I cried during the part where he passed away.
Which character – as performed by Don Hoeksema – was your favorite?
I loved the way he portrayed his Father, right on!
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Life is a fast highway, pull over and think, before you decide which road to take.
Any additional comments?
I was very moved by how Marques never let anything bad completely take over, and how he relied on his family and friends and faith to turn his life around.

Unexpected, not your usual plot.
Revisado: 10-12-15
What made the experience of listening to Reflexive Fire the most enjoyable?
Did not expect such an interesting storyline, it kept me on the edge of my seat. Very eye opening. The narrator was awesome, he did an interesting job in bringing the characters to life, without overdoing it.. The book was not hard to stay in tuned with, a pleasant voice, easy on the ears.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Deckard, he turns the tables and leads his private army against the men against those who have it coming to them. I was swept away by the action on the ship, where he has been exposed and all hell breaks loose, and then in the end how the government, sweeps mostly everything under the rug, with ridiculous explanations, so true to real life in so many ways.
Which scene was your favorite?
The scene where Cabal is wanting to end life as we all know it, the progressive utopia, is talking in a cult setting. The scene is similar to a Satan Cult, except it is worse, as you find out later.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Yes, it really makes you wonder who you can trust. The book was given a good name, because it really will leave you reflexive as to any of this is possible.
Any additional comments?
I don't know if this should be considered courage , but Jack Murphy isn't afraid to let important characters get snuffed in all the spray of shrapnel and deluge of full-auto fire. The body count is high. What an exciting adventure!

Revisado: 09-09-15
Would you consider the audio edition of Direct Action to be better than the print version?
Absolutely, Don's depiction of the story made it come off the page. The character's become real and you forget you're not really there. He handled all the characters with a unique change in voice tone. Subtle, not overdone. Even from the female characters to the military rough and rugged voice. I am now a fan for life!
What did you like best about this story?
You will have trouble putting it down. Great read. Decard is one of the good guys on a very thin line between doing what is right and what evils he has to live with. He must recruit himself into Liquid Sky a group so heinous and evil . Decard must find out how high up the orders come from. Very high up. The book has it all, action, violence, betrayal. You will actually be frightened by what you read because you know it's not all fiction by any means.
Which scene was your favorite?
Excellent read - Full of action at a fast pace. Found a writer that not only writes a thrilling and captivating book but he knows his subject.
I enjoyed listening to it from start to finish, no dull moment with Deckard and his crew, which makes it hard to pick one scene, I loved that romantic scene on the beach, with his girl. It was hot, hot, hot!
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I consider this set of books as the most realistic of the genre, in terms of tactics, weapons, etc. The story wraps that action goodness around a tight read that leads one to wonder how much of it was fiction versus genuine as most of it is plausible. I'm a big fan of the 'fearless assassin' genre and these books are the best of the bunch, hands down. Could not put it down.
Any additional comments?
It’s gritty, it’s fast paced, it’s got more bang than a breaching charge and it's balls to the wall from cover to cover. Murphy’s latest, Direct Action, is all of this with a very healthy slab of contemporary world events thrown in for good measure. Yeah sure it’s a little controversial in parts but hey, it’s fiction, so it’s not necessary real...or is it? It’s the blending of fact and fiction that makes this book such a great read. If you’re interested in the murky world of SOF and the even darker world of contracting then this is the book for you. Another great audiobook narrated by Don, that comes highly recommended.
