As a representative of AudioBookReviewer.com here is a review on The Fight for Political Power written by Neal Owen. After reading the summary of this book I was excited. Unfortunately aside from the relationship between the protagonist and his mother nothing felt natural or creative. It felt like the author was pandering to what he thought his audience would want and not focusing on moving the story along. Between getting bogged down in unnecessary details, excessive amounts of Bible quotes and moments of bland dialogue, this story failed to maintain a cohesive direction.

The setting and background fell flat for me as well. This book series isn't set in today's political climate like it claims, it is an exact copy of today's political climate. The only differences being some name changes and a few but fair liberties taken for the antagonists. This was more of a "ripped from the headlines" law and order style of world building making it feel like little to no effort was taken.

Charles Gray as a narrator is the saving grace of this read. Charles Gray delivered a great performance. Pacing and character emotions were well portrayed.

Editing, quality, and production were on par with most books I have listened to.  It was clear, no issue with sound or quality.

As a representative of AudioBookReviewer.com here is a review on Killer in the Retroscape: A Near-Future Mystery written by Bruce M Perrin. This slow burn futuristic mystery is a must listen for Sci fi and or mystery fans alike. The author painted a realistic future based on real world data collected in 2018 forecasting what technology and life would be like 50 years in the future. Each character in this tale was well flushed out and the fact that the protagonist is a retiree was so unique. This future world where robots and artificial intelligence do all the work for humans forming an unknown dependency was a blast to explore. As soon as you think you have this mystery figured out the ending will turn you on your head.

The narrator Denver C. Risley's performance was middle-of-the-road. His voice acting was consistent throughout but lacked the vigor of a more seasoned narrator. From what I can tell this is his first narration job, at least on audible. He has potential and I can see him improving as his career progresses.

Editing, quality, and production fell short with most books I have listened to.  It was clear but had issues with the cuts in between chapters and too much dead air.

As a representative of AudioBookReviewer.com here is my review on Aaertwen by Ria Skelton. This is a story about a young girl who is left to her own devices and goes on fantastic journeys.  It was told very well. The author did a great job of writing this tale from a tenish-year-olds point of view. It really felt like a young girl telling me about how she helped the fairy folk. The only shortcoming is that this story felt like it had three endings. Each of which would have been good.

The narrator Melika Jeddi did an exceptional job, being a perfect match for this tale. Her voice acting was consistent throughout and caught the tone of the protagonist perfectly.

Editing, quality, and production were on par with most books I have listened to.  It was clear, no issue with sound or quality.

But wait there's more! The author and the narrator pairing perfectly is not the only highlight. If you read this story as a non-fiction, this tale takes on a duality of sorts. The protagonist is a neglected child, abandoned by both parents, isolated from her friends, an ethnic minority, and forced to start a new school due to her mother failing to come back for her. All these factors together would lead anyone to have a mental breakdown. With the addition of the window cleaner peeping on her and possibly assaulting her she has a mental breakdown. Following that line of thought this whole story being told by a mentally and possibly physically abused child has a bit of gravity. This tale is her coping mechanism to deal with adult situations she should never have had to deal with becomes very believable. Whether or not this was the author's intent I do not know but it's an interesting thought experiment of how a child might cope with all the stresses of life.

As a representative of AudioBookReviewer.com here is a review on Robot Commandos written by Todd Mcleod and Michael G. Thomas. This book has a lot of potential. The author did do a great job painting the stage with his descriptions. However, I was left feeling that this was a rough draft and one more pass through would have made the book more of a success.
Unfortunately, there was not enough world building or character development for me to care about the protagonist or his cause. The consisted of drones, robots, Japan's style main character, and fighting on another planet to force their way of life through their armies. These combined elements echo too closely to the Tau in the Warhammer 40k universe to be a fresh idea for me. The main character was too prefect, he was always in the right for every situation. In my opinion, lacking flaws makes for a less believable character.
This was the first try at narration by the narrator, Toby Kinzer.  The impression I had was that he had not connected with the story or the characters.  It is clear that Kinzer is learning to fine tune his talent and will improve with each narration.
Editing and production was poor. The narrator sounded like he was talking into a tin can. Along with that the editing transitions were very noticeable and had repeating sentences.  This book has the potential to be much better but given the stated issues, it needs work.

Quite entertained by the narrator. His performance had me lost in the story. The story itself would go well for a bit and then get nonsensical. It seemed like the author just wanted to get to the Rambo ending and didn't care about completing the story for the 3 other main characters.

This story seems like a movie version of a book. so much content jammed into a restricted number of minutes i.e. pages. Would have been better in a series of books instead of one.
