I wanted to like it...
Revisado: 01-03-25
I wanted to like this book b/c it has a couple trying to get home to their kids. However, it was full of illogical characters, poor choices, and unrealistic situations. The narrator was ok for the male voices but he made the women and children sound whiny no matter the context.

Lots of drama, little bit of action
Revisado: 09-23-24
If you have made it to book 4, know that this is mainly teenage drama between Bob and Violet. I enjoyed the first three books but this one is full of strange behavior from the characters and did not really progress the story line.

Historia
In 2059, two vastly different groups of people portrayed by the compelling trio of Brendan Fraser (Academy Award winner), Luke Kirby (Emmy Award winner), and Vanessa Sears (Dora Award winner) undergo cryonic suspension. While their bodies are frozen, their minds, still active and awake, are uploaded into a massive quantum computer. The first group are all astronauts, about to leave Earth on a one-way interstellar colonization mission. The second group consists of convicted murderers and volunteers who elect to serve their sentences in a virtual-reality prison.

liberal propaganda
Revisado: 11-22-23
The story started off well but slowly started to introducing liberal politics. it got so bad as to show the ultimate model society as a no privacy pure surveillance state. The story also included robots rights. there was trans propaganda throughout and even COVID-19/COVID50 politics about if you don't wear a mask or get vaccinated than you're a human piece of garbage. what started off well crash and burned

Whether they are rescuing citizens injured and freezing in the Alaskan wilderness or saving wounded Rangers and SEALs in blazing firefights at war, the PJs are the least known and most highly trained of America's warriors. Never Quit is the true story of how Jimmy Settle, an Alaskan shoe-store clerk, became a Special Forces Operator and war hero.

this book was 90% training and 10% combat. it had a good narrator and the training was still semi-interesting but it wasn't a combat book.

Meh
Revisado: 10-21-23
Too much of an expeditionary force rip off. The AI personalities are annoying and are trying to be the same duo as Skippy and Nagatha. There are also many illogical parts of the book. for example, the randomly assembled team of military personnel on leave all happened to have guns, ammo, and explosives with him. as a veteran, I know for a fact that none of them would have any of those things that were issued to them. there are inconsistent cease with military terminology and overall character behavior. if you've never listened to expeditionary Force then maybe this book will be better for you than it was for me but if you have listened to EF then this will fall flat.

Historia
Anyone living in Rhodesia during the 1960s and 1970s would have had a father, husband, brother, or son called up in the defense of the war-torn, landlocked little country. A few of these brave men would have been members of the elite and secretive unit that struck terror into the hearts of the ZANLA and ZIPRA guerrillas infiltrating the country at that time - the Selous Scouts.
