Sad with Narrator change but great story

This third book has me way more hooked and invested than the first two. The first book was meh and hard for me to get through the second was more interesting I was simply annoyed they made Tamlin such a douche but she found her true mate and this book was so freaking good. I do think I would’ve loved it more if the narrator had stayed the same as the first two books though. This narrator wasn’t horrible but she also wasn’t the best at giving the different tones to different characters and putting the full emotion in the lines.

A lot better than the 1st

This book kept my attention way more than the first book. The first one took so much effort for me to get through but this one felt a lot better paced and my anger towards Tamlin probably helped too. I’m usually not a got for the second guy type person but it was like Tamlin learnt nothing from the first book and his attitude got so trash so I was fully on team Rhys.

It Draaaggggggsssss

I started this because someone recommended it to me and they usually are very right with the stories they recommend me. He warned me it drags for the first like 10hrs and he was right. I only stuck with it cuz he assured me it’d get better and the next books are great, luckily he was right it did get better at the last like 5hrs, but it did take me forever to slog through those first hours.

Narrator good not great

This book was a great listen I loved hearing Kiyoshi’s story. It was good at making me understand her just “kill them” reasoning. The narrator does a good job with female voices, but the male voices are rough. Especially the old male voices, they just sounded like old ladies who smoke twenty cigs a day. While the male voices were rough the female voices were ok even if there wasn’t much distinction between them. There were a few times when lines were being said and I couldn’t tell which character said it. It wasn’t bad enough to make me drop it like some other stories though.

Always Love Molly&Amanda combo

Molly Harper’s supernatural books are always a great listen with Amanda R’s narration bringing the sassy female leads to life. Heck she even does the male voices great for me. It was an adjustment with this being the first time I’ve listened to a Molly book that wasn’t just Amanda but a male narrator as well. I feel it wouldn’t have been as hard to adjust if he only voiced the male characters because him doing the female voices was more jarring. He can’t bring the sass like Amanda can but it wasn’t horrible enough for me to drop it like some other dual narrated stories.

A Great ending but where’s my group scene?

I think this wrapped up the story so nicely and yes she eventually did the deed with all her guys. However this is a RH book where was my sexy group seggs scene? Yes we got a couple where one would go down on her while the others play with her a bit but I wanted a full on scene. The bonding ceremony was the perfect chance but it got skipped over.

My two favorite stories finally came together!

So happy they finally completely acknowledged this story is in the same universe as the Half moon Hollow story. I mean I knew they were because in the first book Mo ordered books from Specialty Books and in one of the books for Half-moon Hollow they said someone in Grundy Alaska ordered a bunch of werewolf mating books, but there were times in the story where I thought those were just nods to the fans. Since some of the characters in this series acted shocked or surprised when the werewolves ain’t deny Vampires existed. That threw me off since in Half moon Hollow the big plot point is that the vampires were forced out of the “coffin” with the bug coming out and the humans went crazy with trying to kill them or protect themselves before just learning to adapt. But now I get concrete proof having Dick and Andrea show up!!

The Story is Great, the narrator has an annoying habit

So I’m really enjoying this story, and the narrator does a good job with the voices. However she has this annoying way of reading lines where she will stop not even at the end of a sentence like a petulant teen. Just extending the word out on a sigh. I would have zero complaints if she didn’t stop in these weird spots to elongate words that don’t need to be elongated.

Whyyyyy change Narrators!?

While I still greatly enjoy the story itself, it was such a disappointment to have to adjust to this new narrator. He couldn’t do the accents and distinct voices as well as Ethan and the pronunciations of already established words and names changed for the worse. I loved Konstantine’s deliciously sexy Russian accent and voice in books 1-5 and that has been taken from me 😭

Badass Heroine

This is the first ever fox shifter story I’ve seen and I will say I’m not disappointed. I freaking love the three foxes but I LOVE Kenzie more she’s so badass. She doesn’t just sit back and cry she actually stands up for herself and she’s smart as hell and can fight like a badass!!
