Very helpful
Revisado: 05-15-19
This book contains an incredible amount of information. It goes far beyond trying to improve the techniques of the giver. It examines many different circumstances and explores the mental and emotional state of both the giver and the receiver and how they help or hinder achieving the desired results. Lots of naughty puns and innuendos keep the reading light and playful, but it's a truly serious guide based on studies and lots of first-hand accounts.

Historia
New York Times number-one best-selling author Richard Eyre contends that the three things today's society desires most - control, ownership, and independence - are, paradoxically, what bring the most discouragement and unhappiness in our lives. Providing a mind-changing exploration of the inherent problems with our fixation on material possessions, control over our lives, and independence from others, Eyre responds with a unique and engaging counterpoint of how to switch to the joy-giving alternatives of serendipity, stewardship, and interdependence.

This is a must-read
Revisado: 05-08-19
This book has some surprising yet undeniable truths to it. The first section that discusses things we strive for but can actually keep us from achieving happiness has opened my eyes to things I'll never be able to forget. The second section I was a little less excited by, but not because I disbelieved any of it. I just felt like the second part paved a clear path for someone who is a little more of a spiritual person than I am. It did give me many things to consider and search out my feelings on, and I have no doubt that I will use a great many of the author's findings as I continue paving my own path to happiness.

There is no real limit in the discipline of physics. It involves matters that are as huge as the galaxy to things as small as neutrons. This audiobook deals with the smallest side of it, which is the branch of quantum physics. Throughout the course of this audiobook, you will get a much better understanding of quantum physics starting from the basic concepts to some in-depth information. You will also see a lot of math and calculus in the audiobook since quantum physics uses many concepts from those subjects.

Amazing
Revisado: 05-04-19
This book contains a wealth of knowledge about about the field of quantum physics in plain spoken easy to understand layman terms. I would recommend this book to anyone who feels lost in conversations about different theories or ideas. Probably a bit more information than a person with a minor interest in quantum physics would need, but a great starting point for someone who is looking to learn more.
Read clearly and accurately by the narratior.

Pornelope does it again
Revisado: 01-23-19
Love, love, love, love, love this story. Pornelope is the only one who can do gender bending erotica with so much class. No absurdly raunchy or corny sex dialog, just a hot erotica story from a slightly different viewpoint. During a sudden and violent event, Charlie Nelson's consciousness (or soul perhaps) is ejected from his body into another nearby victim. It's not the craziest book plot I've ever heard. If you can buy that small bit of sci-fi (or twist of fate) detail, it makes for a totally believable erotic fantasy. The characters reactions and emotions are very practical as the situation escalates to a predictable but awesome climax.

Monster-girl haram fantasy adventure
Revisado: 01-14-19
I have read and enjoyed several sci-fi or fantasy girl harem books. I think it's a relatively new genre. Kinda like the male version of a dirty romance novel. There aren't very many books out there yet that fall into this category much less audiobooks. Books with monster-girls are even more rare. I find that odd considering the large amount of manga, fan art, and video games available with monster-girls in them. Personally I wouldn't consider this book dirty enough to be considered "erotica", despite the adult content and monster girl harem. I would describe this book as urban-fantasy with lots of action. The intro was a little rushed for my taste. You have to digest a lot all at once, but for fans of fast paced action stories, I guess it helps in order to jump right into the action. I enjoyed the story and i liked the characters. The seduction lines in this book is really cheesy, but if you're going to have a fantasy world full of sexy beasts, they might as well be super easy.

Wonderful
Revisado: 01-09-19
One of the most amazing audiobooks I've ever listened to. What can I say without giving any spoilers? The author creates a story and unfold it bit by bit while painting a picture that comes alive as you watch. This type of writing is so much more precise and artistic than many of today's author's who put out garbage that somehow becomes best sellers. This is the first solid example of a good book that I've found that I can reference when I complain to my friends (who don't read) that I don't like Stephen King because his writing is so lazy. I would encourage anyone to read this unless all you're into is fast paced action. The story is beautifully told, but it builds slowly.
Narrator Kristin Price is truely a master at her craft. I have heard few others who could compliment a story so well. I will be looking into her other works in the future hoping to find other great works.

Historia
In The Meaning of Blood: and Other Tales of Perversity, award-winning author and Edgar Allan Poe scholar Chuck Caruso combines his deep roots in the American Gothic with his own contemporary sense of macabre humor. These 15 stories of dark fiction range from crime thrillers to western noir to grotesque horror. Each twisted tale displays Caruso's unique blend of wry prose, feverish storytelling, and tragically flawed characters discovering that even the most innocent encounter can lead to death. Or sex. Or both.

Original stories
Revisado: 01-02-19
These stories weren't as perverse as I would have expected given the title. They were however very creative. Nothing is more frustrating than sitting through a cookie cutter story with no original plot or concept. As collections go, I liked some of these stories more than others. Other listeners will not like the stories that I enjoyed the most and vise versa. Several of the stories had old-western setting which is not something I see very often in this genre. What I enjoyed the most was how the author captured the emotions of real people. Thier cruelty, disgust, hatred and cowerdess toward others comes through as the most intimate parts of each character.

Great Book
Revisado: 01-02-19
I thought this book was going to be about how to trick people and make them do what you want, but it really is a lot more positive than that. This is a great tool for anyone who is trying to get better at sales, come across as more confident at work, appear more attractive to potential love interests, or communicate better with family members. How we come across to other people makes up so much of our daily life. Whether we know it or not, we are constantly trying to convince people to do things. The book does describe various different methods of what I would consider negative manipulation, but I've found that it has helped me more to recognize when someone was trying to manipulate me, knowingly or not.
Read by Gene Blake, who sounds like Judd Hircsh from Indipendance Day.

So much more than I expected.
Revisado: 12-04-18
I wanted to check out this audiobook because I had heard about self talk and I wanted to learn to identify my own self talk more easily and work to make it more positive. The author gave pleanty of tips and practical exercises to help with that, but also explained so much about how it works in a way that was easy for me to understand. He also touched on many subject areas that I have heard before but didn't fully understand and brought them together in a way that made sense to me. Subjects like cognitive dissonance, learned helplessness, the pareto principle, and intrinsic versus extrinsic motivation to name a few. I feel like this not only helps me understand the basics, but points me in several directions that I might want to learn more about next in order to gain a deeper understanding. From now on, this will be the first thing I recommend to anyone who is serious about wanting to overcome negative thoughts and not sure where to start.

Makes a lot of sense
Revisado: 11-18-18
Author hits the nail on the head when he talks about the characteristics of binge eating. I felt like he was talking about me specifically. This is not a diet plan, it is a guide to help recognize and avoid traps and cyclical patterns among other things.
Lots of good science related material. I found much of the information to be helpful and motivating. It most definately gets easier the more you work at it.
In my opinion, the last chapter has most of the inspirational take away message from this book. It's worth relistening to in times of weekness.
Read confidently and professionally by the narrator.
