Falls Flat in Plot & Performance
Revisado: 03-27-25
Love After Midnight tries to be a swoon-worthy romance with a hint of mystery, but it ultimately falls flat. The plot is formulaic to the point of predictability, recycling tired tropes without adding anything fresh. The characters feel more like placeholders than real people, their emotions often coming across as shallow or forced.
The pacing is inconsistent—some parts drag on endlessly while others rush through key moments, making it hard to stay invested. The romantic tension, which should be the heart of the story, feels manufactured rather than organic. Instead of a slow burn, it’s more of a lukewarm simmer that never quite reaches the level of passion it aims for.
While the writing is technically fine, it lacks the spark or depth needed to make the story truly compelling. Love After Midnight isn’t the worst romance novel out there, but it’s forgettable, uninspired, and ultimately not worth the hype. If you’re looking for a love story that lingers in your mind after the last page, this one isn’t it.

Historia
In my book, you will meet a little girl named Viola who ran from her past until she made a life-changing decision to stop running forever. This is my story, from a crumbling apartment in Central Falls, Rhode Island, to the stage in New York City, and beyond. This is the path I took to finding my purpose but also my voice in a world that didn’t always see me.

Beautifully written and read

Nothing I write can do this book justice. Mrs Davis is raw, authentic and inspiring in recounting her life story. This is a must read. I finished listening to her book I’m two days.

Historia
Winter Santiaga hit time served. Still stunning, still pretty, still bold, still loves her father more than any man in the world, still got her hustle and high fashion flow. She’s eager to pay back her enemies, rebuild her father’s empire, reset his crown, and ultimately to snatch Midnight back into her life no matter which bitch had him while she was locked up. But Winter is not the only one with revenge on her mind.

Stick with it. It gets better
Revisado: 10-02-21
The story started out at slow and confusing. I stopped listening for a while. Then decided to continue listening. The story has a spiritual undertone that I love. Good verses evil in the afterlife. A pleasant twisted plot.
Nia Long was a great narrator.

Your mother wears combat boots
Revisado: 04-04-20
I truly enjoyed reading Warrior Code. I have proudly served as a US Army Paratrooper for 17 plus years. As a female paratrooper, I have faced many of the same struggles. Cuddios to Ms Hanible for the ability to capture her time in the military, as a single mother, as a Marine while inspiring and encouraging those around her. Congratulations for rising above and not allowing the military the negatively change who you are. Continue to find the positive in all things.
