Historia
We acquire our native language, seemingly without effort, in infancy and early childhood. Language is our constant companion throughout our lifetime, even as we age. Indeed, compared with other aspects of cognition, language seems to be fairly resilient through the process of aging. In Changing Minds, Roger Kreuz and Richard Roberts examine how aging affects language - and how language affects aging.

Snowden should be welcomed home as a great American hero.
Revisado: 08-26-20
Who amongst us loves our country, loves the personal freedoms of its citizens, so much that they would be willing to risk everything?
This riveting book captured me from the beginning and I could not stop listening. Thank you Ed Snowden for what you did to help slow down and start to reverse the egregious privacy violations our government has perpetrated on its citizens.
Plain and simple, Orwell’s 1984, actually pales in comparison to our current reality.

Historia
Milton Friedman and his wife, Rose, teamed up to write this most convincing and readable guide, which illustrates the crucial link between Adam Smith's capitalism and the free society. They show how freedom has been eroded and prosperity undermined through the rapid growth of governmental agencies, laws, and regulations.

Just as relevant today as in 1979
Revisado: 08-22-17
Brilliant analysis and understanding of the ailments that plague our society. As Government grows it fosters an ever increasing demand for special interest to both protect themselves and to try and gain advantage over competition.
Not only is this phenomena explained in understandable language and with concrete examples, the authors provide thoughtful recommendations for what we, as a society, might do to improve the welfare of all citizens.
Thinking about the examples provided back when this was written in 1979, and comparing to what has happened since -- the wisdom of this book is prophetic. Virtually every observation made back then is applicable to what we see in society today.
If you love freedom and prosperity this book is a must read!

Historia
In his four years since joining the Senate, Rand Paul has risen to the forefront of the national discussion. He's being called "the most interesting man in politics" by TIME magazine. When Senator Paul believes in an issue, he reaches across the aisle to collaborate with his colleagues. He's worked with Senator Kirsten Gillibrand on an antiwar bill, a financial assistance for childcare bill, and a protection for women in the military bill.

Substance - not hype, not hyperbole. Will make you think!
Revisado: 07-10-15
Every day our society seems more and more divided. It seems that every election, every law, every SCOTUS ruling results in more and more polarization. But it doesn't have to be that way.
Dr. Paul had poured his thoughts, his passion and compassion into digging deep into what divides us and what ultimately can bring us together. He talks honestly about the real causes of our divisions both from GOP and Democratic leadership. He offers real solutions that are thought provoking and amazingly full of common sense.
Both GOP and Democrat establishments in Washington will undoubtedly attack these ideas because they take away from their power and give power back to the people. But, if you are like me, a person utterly sick of the politics and dogma of division that permeates our society -- then I highly recommend reading or listening to this book. I guarantee that no matter what side of the aisle you favor, you will learn something new and challenge some things you believe.
A great book and a superb job of reading and production.
I stand with Rand!
