Historia
Hundreds of years ago, the last humans on Earth boarded the Exodus Fleet in search of a new home among the stars. After centuries spent wandering empty space, their descendants were eventually accepted by the well-established species that govern the Milky Way. But that was long ago. Today, the Exodus Fleet is a living relic, the birthplace of many, yet a place few outsiders have ever visited. As many Exodans leave for alien cities or terrestrial colonies, those who remain are left to ponder their own lives and futures.

A great romp and rings true to the Jane we know and love!
Revisado: 06-04-24
A well-crafted mystery in wonderful Austenesque voice. The author writes the fictionalized Jane Austen sharply and recognizably, (as far as we can know her true character and personality). Really fun to listen to! The footnotes in little Easter eggs are particularly amusing, especially if you know Jane's writing well. Janeites will not be disappointed in this book, but you do not have to be a Jane aficionado to enjoy.

Historia
In a world devastated by nuclear war with humanity on the edge of extinction, aliens finally make contact. They rescue those humans they can, keeping most survivors in suspended animation while the aliens begin the slow process of rehabilitating the planet. When Lilith Iyapo is "awakened", she finds that she has been chosen to revive her fellow humans in small groups by first preparing them to meet the utterly terrifying aliens, then training them to survive on the wilderness that the planet has become. But the aliens cannot help humanity without altering it forever.

A taste of "otherness" ripe with symbolism and allegory.

Completely gripping sci-fi storytelling. How did I wait so long to read (listen to) this series? I can't wait to read the next book in the trilogy.

Historia
In this Audible Exclusive production, Academy Award® nominee Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl) narrates one of Jane Austen’s most beloved works, Sense and Sensibility. In this timeless tale of misguided romance and heartbreak, two teenage heroines must overcome the pitfalls of Georgian England’s high society in order to achieve the love and happiness they seek. The admiration that Pike has for Austen’s work is shown clearly through this passionate delivery of Austen’s first published novel.

Rosamund Pike Narrates Brilliantly
Revisado: 02-23-24
I know the story very well having read it many times over my lifetime. This particular reading was delightful, as it wasmy first audio experience of Sense and Sensibility, although I regularly listen to audiobooks. Rosamund Pike is so brilliant in her interpretation of the characters that kept forgetting that I was listening to one voice. Her capture of the qualities of varied characters is unsurpassed.
