A rollercoaster ride and inspiring story

I loved this story! I am a proud and new Catholic but came from a Methodist background with a woman assistant pastor. I miss having someone at the lectionary who understands my perspective as a woman. The timing of this novel seems so perfect. With the wonderful Pope Francis, the people have a hope for some new changes in the church.

This story was beautifully written. It was thrilling, scary, inspiring, loving, dramatic, and beautiful. I felt all of the emotions of Brigid. I felt like I was right there with her, through her fears, her tears, her happiness and dreams. I was especially touched by her conversations with God and the Pope. I was definitely brought to happy tears! I kept waiting for the moment that she might become pope, which was exciting. Sometimes I felt exhausted for Brigid and all she was going through (aka the rollercoaster).

James and Maxine did a fabulous job writing it and Therese was a terrific narrator. Therese had a lot of power and emotion in her voice and she did a great job of changing her voice for the different characters (including men and a little girl).

I'm still in love with this series! The author is so clever and the narrators, husband and wife, are sooooooooo good at what they do. Each book has been so entertaining, like the old radio stories. I can't get enough. The story lines are intriguing and developing too, next please!

A twisted and thrilling plot.

I could hardly hit "pause". Stephen King wrote a great story of tragedy and hope. Somehow, he even encouraged me to feel compassion for the "bad guy".

I absolutely love this series.

J.A. Konrath is witty amd clever. The story line was thrilling andI love the characters. I have trouble turning off Konrath's audiobooks. The writing is fantastic but I'm thoroughly amused by the narrators, Susie and Dick. I love how they interact and turn the whole thing into a show. I can't get enough! I would say this series wouldn't be the same without them!

Touching and mysterious story

Kate does such a great job at developing characters that I can't help but love. I lose time listening to her books. I thought I had this story figured out early but Kate surprised me in the end. I'm hooked on her books for sure now. You won't be regretful of choosing this book if you enjoy a little mystery, love and some history.

I just loved the characters. And the plot twists and turns and leaves you wanting more after each chapter. Beautifully written and wonderfully narrated, it is a story I will listen to again and again.

thrilling and great characters

A thrilling story with the right amount of character build and intensity in events. I couldn't stop listening! Narrator did a nice job of changing his voice for different characters, I especially loved the oldest daughter as a character and the narrator's voice for her was great.

Love Love Love

I absolutely love this book! It was so great to hear the story in the voice of the author. His voice is soothing and very romantic. I was so wrapped up in the story, I couldn't get enough. Of course, I cried happy tears. It was beautiful.

awesome, in-your-face story

A little vulgar but fairly warned. I was on the edge of my seat, enthralled with the story. The author narrating was a special treat. I loved the sound effects and different voices.
