Historia
Artorian wakes in youthful form version three, and happier he could not be. Exploring Avalon is a treat to the senses, with cat cafes galore and gossip flowing evermore. Lectures on Laws and leisurely walks fill his days, with plenty abound to catch the eye. All is well on this enthusiastic stroll until a Heavenly falls from the sky, and Artorian can kiss his simple days good-bye.

Stacks of metagaming
Revisado: 03-23-25
I took a while to finish this book, breaking near the middle as I had started to lose the plot pretty hard. After a couple false restarts, I think I finally caught the whiff of where the story was and just rode it out for the romp it was. It's an Artorian tale, so it's wacky and all over the place breaking game mechanics with a punny, reference-filled flourish. And if you're up to book 13, well, you're here for the full goofy epic like I am. Eventually... at least for me.

Historia
Malrosa is a princess of the Athanatos, powerful immortal insect people who have been systematically assaulting Vita's island for years. When Vita ends up fusing her soul with her, the resulting gestalt must struggle to reconcile her conflicting viewpoints and beliefs. Now in love with two homes and full of perspective her old self lacked, Vita must bring peace between warring islands... and if there's one thing Vita has always been bad with, it's peace. This is the fourth and final book of Vigor Mortis.

Incredible voice acting
Revisado: 05-09-24
The story is more of the wild existential escalation and is a convoluted mass of identities and actors and perspectives. But the voice acting is so well done it's almost never confusing. I still can't get over the surprise of realizing a slight shift in the voice midsentence making a perspective shift so natural and obvious.

Continues a unique story
Revisado: 01-28-23
I don't think I've come across any story like this. It has a deep flippancy towards morality and identity that feels unique. None of the characters are stupid, none are unempathetic, and rooting for actually evil characters is just... the story is a real ride.
There are some odd production glitches, and the narration is occasionally a little hard to follow because it's rushed. But there's one chapter that's just brilliantly narrated and from that point on mistakes are easily overlooked. You'll know the chapter when you hear it,
