Historia
Good to Go is Constance's powerful, firsthand account of his three tours of duty as a member of America's most elite, razor-sharp stealth fighting force. It is a breathtaking memoir of harrowing missions and covert special-ops - from the floodplains of the Mekong Delta to the beaches of the South China Sea - that places the listener in the center of bloody ambushes and devastating firefights. But Constance's extraordinary adventure goes even farther - beyond 'Nam.

Excellent story…loved it
Revisado: 12-31-24
I really enjoyed this story. The authors really brought it to life. I will probably relisten to this book 2 to 3 more times. I do wish the narrator would do more research on vocabulary used rather than mispronouncing words or spelling out words that the military has made shorter….. i.e. corpsman…pronounced ‘coreman’….

America faces a full-scale socioeconomic collapse in the near future. The stock market plummets, hyperinflation cripples commerce and the mounting crisis passes the tipping point. Practically overnight, the fragile chains of supply and high-technology infrastructure fall, and wholesale rioting and looting grip every major city.

Revisado: 04-11-23
I've read this book in '08 and have listened to it twice since then. In '08, the book caused my awareness of the fragile possible future that was possible. I started my preps then. My wife, then, thought I was crazy and even said she wished she knew about my prepping before we gt married. That was a gut punch. But that was then and I have sinced moved onto a better woman.
I thought a financial collaspe or an EMP was the most likely....never a pandemic. But had it got very bad, at least Mr Wesley's book called my attention in the importance of being prepared for anything that life could throw at you above the normal.
The reason I am leaving a review is a lot of similiarities in the writing of this book to today's current events. The family and group in this fictional story had their preps in place and were prepared. They believed in God and guided their life via the Bible and the U.S. Constitution. Knowledge is power folks and having a few preps in place from stored food to medical is wise not only for you but also your family.

I expected a true story but turned out it was better than that! It was a fictional account of a tank crew thru Europe during World War 2. I enjoyed it and think you will also!

Here are thrilling, never-before-heard stories of the Army's elite aviation unit - the most daring and professional helicopter crews in the world. Special Operations pilots are notoriously reticent; they don't talk about their missions, at least not to anyone outside their small community. But now, with the publication of The Night Stalkers, Durant and Steven Hartov shed a fascinating light on these mysterious super commandos and take readers into a world they have only imagined.

In this revealing new audiobook, Webb takes listeners through every aspect of this training, describing how Spec Ops snipers are taught each dimension of their art. Trainees learn to utilize every edge possible to make their shot - from studying crosswinds, barometric pressure, latitude, and even the rotation of the Earth, to becoming ballistic experts. But marksmanship is only one aspect of the training. Each SEAL's endurance, stealth, and mental and physical stamina are tested and pushed to the breaking point.

Awesome
Revisado: 08-07-19
Great book! The author jumps between sniper stories which makes it difficult at times to follow when your listening to the book because you don’t see the story breaks as you would if reading it. Besides that a great ‘listen’ to understand both snipers, personal stories and the dynamics of what it takes to shoot long distance.

Historia
John Plaster’s riveting account of his covert activities as a member of a special operations team during the Vietnam War is “a true insider’s account...this eye-opening report will leave readers feeling as if they’ve been given a hot scoop on a highly classified project” (Publishers Weekly). Code-named the Studies and Observations Group, SOG was the most secret elite US military unit to serve in the Vietnam War - so secret that its very existence was denied by the government.

June, 1941. Determined that the United States will be prepared for war, Franklin D. Roosevelt and "Wild Bill" Donovan orchestrate the most complex espionage organization in history, the Office of Strategic Services. Young and daring, the OSS assemble under a thin camouflage of diplomacy and then disperse throughout the world to conduct their operations. And no operation is more critical than the one being conducted by hotshot pilot Richard Canidy and his half-German friend Eric Fulmar: to secure the rare ore that will power a top-secret weapon....

Disappointed
Revisado: 10-19-18
I'll start off by saying I have read WEB Griffins book series the Corps and Brotherhood of War. Probably read each series 7 or more times. I even enjoyed it on Audible...except for the last three in the Brotherhood series. Huge disappointment there! The Last Heroes I was hoping to replace my enjoyment with Griffins' writing but the books bounced around too much and talked about topics that I thought got too much into detail on a subject he could have omitted. I got the impression it was too much like filler to me. After a few chapters I turned it off...just couldn't listen to it anymore.

Historia
In November 1964, Cuban revolutionary Che Guevara went to the Congo with two hundred men, intent on making it his first step in taking over Africa and South America. He failed, thanks in large part to the efforts of an intrepid band of Green Berets. Licking his wounds, he retreated to Cuba to recruit more men and try the same thing in Bolivia. He failed there, too. In fact, he died there, and thus, despite his incompetence, became a glorious martyr to the cause. But who was trying to kill him, really - and who was trying to keep him alive?

Disappointed
Revisado: 10-19-18
These last three books of the series were a big disappointment. The books are all set around a coupe in the Congo. The reading was fine but I didn't care that the conflict of the story line was in Africa. Why not continue with Southeast Asia? Being a military veteran I was disappointed with the reader not pronouncing the acronyms correctly that the military uses. There were also some mistakes within the reading (and perhaps by the author) that SF units didn't use a CAR-16, or a C-131, and once during a flight, a member said to look at something on the ground at their 3 o'clock and everyone looked to the left?? I actually stopped listening to the book because I completely lost interest in the story......and possibly the author.
