Slow start

Started of slow, and the reading put a boring tone to the book, but that was a reflection of the characters mood, so don't let it put you off if your about to buy it. Its an interesting story and a unique form of magic.
one thing i HATED was the the reader doing Onomatopoeia, he all but screamed the bird call, and when i had headphones on drifting to sleep it was damn awful.

Short and sweet

Good fantasy series, going into a lot of depth yet not so much as to draw out the book. i would have liked it to be a bit longer but i still enjoyed it.
for those who like magic, dragons, mythical races and heros. this is a series you would enjoy
