I love the characters and I usually like the cute stories. This one was ridiculous. There were so many potholes. I won’t get into them because then they will be spoilers, but the first one comes with with the sound of sirens.

Cute story.
Angel Clark, for all is good and holy, please get rid of the nasal voice, you know the one, the nasal annoying, high-pitched voice that you used for Mel. You also use it for grandpa in the Avery series. Please only use that voice for an annoying character, not a loved character. There are so many new characters that pop in that can get that voice assigned. And there are annoying characters who could use that voice all the time. Zander is an absolute nuisance, body shaming pain in the ass, nightmare. Give him that annoying voice. Please don’t use it for Mel.

The accent is cringe but the story is great.

1. People from Jersey don’t say the “New.”
2. NO ONE calls it “Joisey.” No. One. At least no one from JERSEY.
3. The accent is a mix between Boston and Staten Island NOT Jersey.
But the story was great. I just hate hate hate this reader. As someone who is actually from Jersey, it was beyond awful.

Love the Poet interaction except Kade is the whiniest of the whiny babies. Not a fan of him.
Love when other characters cross over. Loved the new meeting (won’t spoil it), but wish we saw more of the family conversation. Those two have a lot in common.
Scout was a bit whiny in this. Hunter is always whiny. Love Gunner. He is a great partner. He lets Scout be Scout.
Cannot wait to see how this ends up.
