Historia
Tired of the pace and noise of life near London and longing for a better place to raise their young children, Mary J. MacLeod and her husband, George, encountered their dream while vacationing on a remote island in the Scottish Hebrides. Enthralled by its windswept beauty, they soon were the proud and startled owners of a near-derelict croft house - a farmer’s stone cottage - on “a small acre” of land. Mary assumed duties as the island’s district nurse.

Good story terrible narration
Revisado: 04-30-15
Being a nurse I was looking forward to this story, being a Brit, I was so disappointed with the narration! The cadence was awful, words were incorrectly pronounced & accents fluctuated wildly. I almost gave up listening but a previous listener suggested speeding it up slightly which helped enough to finish it.

Interesting
Revisado: 10-21-12
Where does What Every BODY Is Saying rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I enjoyed learning more about how to read body language, in particular the language of the body that is not normally thought about.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
How "honest" the feet are
How did the narrator detract from the book?
The narrator was stilted and monotone. He put breaks and spaces in sentences where there were none. Made him sound very robotic. It would have been much more interesting to listen to if the speaker had been more dynamic.

Historia
For young single women, every night is Ladies' Night. For Brett Paesel and her friends, Friday happy hour is all they get, if they can wrangle the babysitting. Like most mommies, they support each other through pregnancies, sleep deprivation, and the need to talk about it all. Instead of meeting at the playground, they convene at the local watering hole while sipping Black and Tans and flirting with the cute bartender.

About Time!
Revisado: 09-27-06
Finally a book about being a mother that tells it like it is! I too have sat in Mommy & me groups, wondering if anyone can talk about anything other than what their kids are doing. It made me laugh out loud so many times and talk about the topics that are never talked about with friends. A thoroughly enjoyable read, I intend to buy it for all of my mom friends when their birthdays come around. I still want to meet "Mommies who Drink"!
