This was a boring book and it seemed quite far
Fetched. The narrator was very irritating, she had a nasal thing going on and it made it hard to get into the book for that reason. For a while I thought it was getting better, but that didn’t last long. There were side stories going on and that made it confusing, and they were also boring and had nothing to do with the plot. I would have returned it, but couldn’t figure out how.

Not really able to get into it, not sure if it’s because of the narrator or if the narrator is just bad. Makes me sad because I love this type of book. i didn’t mean to give the story that many stars, just don’t know how to fix it.

What disappointed you about Firefly Beach?
The narrator is so terrible I can't even finish the book. Usually if I don't like the narrator the story is good enough that I forget about it and just get lost in the book. Not so with this book. It grieves me to say such awful things. Perhaps if it were a better narrator the book would have been more enjoyable. The book was pretty boring though. I made a mistake in not listening to the sample.
