All the pieces finally make sense
Revisado: 03-22-23
Thank you for writing this book!! From the very start I was so captivated hearing things I’ve said, thought and done but were never named for me before. I finally understand exactly why I’ve felt like my hunger could never be satisfied. I finally understand how blocking my feminine energy (unknowingly) has played such a crucial role in my food obsession. I finally understand how my gifts of sensitivity, always seen as flaws and used against me, play a huge role in using food for coping. I feel like an absolutely changed woman and can’t wait to read this again, pausing to journal, reflect and answer the questions for myself. ❤️🩹💝

Historia
Injuries affect every athlete, from the elite Olympian to the weekend racer. In the moment, a traumatic crash, a torn muscle or a stress fracture can feel like the most devastating event possible. While some athletes are destroyed by the experience, others emerge from their recovery better, stronger and more confident than ever. The key to a swifter, stronger comeback is the use of mental skills: psychological tools that enable an athlete to take control of their recovery and ultimately use the experience to their advantage.

So so helpful!
Revisado: 06-16-22
Thank you for writing this book! I downloaded the workbook and did the exercises along the way. It helped me get “unstuck” from my feelings of frustration and grief about not being able to run due to my injury. The concepts and strategies as well as the numerous athlete stories were extremely helpful. Highly recommend for anyone struggling with an injury.

So many ah-ha’s!!
Revisado: 04-17-21
I’ve been following Dr Nicole’s work for some time on Instagram and absolutely love it! I couldn’t wait for the book to get a deeper understanding of how to do the work of self healing. As someone with a deep desire to repair my past in order to live the most fulfilling and impactful life her work has made a huge impact on me. I got so much out of this book that has propelled my own healing and understanding.
I will say she must have been coached on the reading style because she does not speak so slowly and deliberately in her YouTube videos, so I listened to this book on 1.2x speed to make it feel like a normal cadence.
Thank you Dr Nicole for sharing all of this wisdom! I am truly grateful 🙏🏼❤️ #selfhealer
