Historia
Rainn Wilson’s memoir about growing up geeky and finally finding his place in comedy, faith, and life. For nine seasons Rainn Wilson played Dwight Schrute, everyone's favorite work nemesis and beet farmer. Viewers of The Office fell in love with the character and grew to love the actor who played him even more. Rainn founded a website and media company, SoulPancake, that eventually became a best-selling book of the same name. He also started a hilarious Twitter feed (sample tweet: “I'm not on Facebook” is the new “I don't even own a TV”).

Last chapter on faith hits hard - enjoyed this from start to finish - Rainn's upbringing was fascinating

Historia
A hilarious guide to life from a man who has "lived large and fallen hard", offering observations on courage ("Lots of guys brag they'd fight off anything to save their woman. Yeah, right - there is no sense in both us dying"), discipline ("If you've got to get whupped, your father is the man. Mothers don't stop until you're bleeding to death"), money ("Before computers, checks were great...local ones took 14 days to clear"), and much more.

Realized half way though this came out in 97' that explains the re-used material - This is more of a greatest hits of older stand up material - it's great at it's core BUT I prefer to watch his stand up - nothing new here - cash grab city

Historia
In her hit Netflix comedy special Baby Cobra, an eight-month pregnant Ali Wong resonated so strongly that she even became a popular Halloween costume. Wong told the world her remarkably unfiltered thoughts on marriage, sex, Asian culture, working women, and why you never see new mom comics on stage but you sure see plenty of new dads.

auto bio that goes deep...& flakey
Revisado: 01-19-23
Dear girls is an accurate title - majority of stories are speaking directly at Ali's daughters - felt bizarre sometimes being a third party hearing family information -- my favorite part (and I wish there was more) was on Ali's experience doing stand-up it was just a small blurb - I love hearing about hardship & she has definitely been through a lot - I DO recommend this book

Historia
Billy Crystal is 65, and he's not happy about it. With his trademark wit and heart, he outlines the absurdities and challenges that come with growing old, from insomnia to memory loss to leaving dinners with half your meal on your shirt. In humorous chapters like "Buying the Plot" and "Nodding Off," Crystal not only catalogues his physical gripes, but offers a road map to his 77 million fellow baby boomers who are arriving at this milestone age with him. He also looks back at the most powerful and memorable moments of his long and storied life.

overall I really enjoyed this there was a lot of great stories throughout this book my only beef was that it switches from an intimate Studio reading to a live performance in front of a crowd I didn't like the stuff in front of the crowd so much I like my story time to be intimate
