I trusted TikTok who has been talking up this book with their clips of Joe Arden's "oh so sexy" Voice! Well, that's the ONLY thing this book had going for it! I just can't even say anything good about this book. It was that bad. I'm not being prudish...I love smut and I love the brother/sister dynamic but the storyline and writing was just awful.

I read/listened to this book for book club. This is supposed to be a "Spooky Girl" book club and I learned from joining is that I must be extremely morbid lol. I found this book to be G rated and too YA for a true horror book fan. I thought that the narrator did a great job with giving each character their own personality and voices. The book is set after a vast majority of the world was stricken with a virus that turned them into something else. It kinda glossed over what could have been an amazing storyline, and just went from "oh hey, this happened and now we're headed to a music fest". IDK....This was just not for me.

Exquisite Performance and Enthralling Storyline

I don't often write reviews, but this was too good not to share my love for it. The storyline was so engaging and the full cast performance with sound effects just elevated it to that next level. If they made this into a series I would be the first in line to buy it. Just wow! definitely worth the listen.

Best Book I've Listened To In A Long Time

This book caught my attention from the first minute. I devoured it in 2 days! I could not even imagine what it would be like as a parent of a pyschopath. I love that the POV was from the mom. I wish she would do a second book that addresses the ending and is told from the Gemma's POV. I highly recommend this book and then go home and hug your kids lol.

Absolutely amazing!

I devoured this book! I’m currently on book 3 and loving every minute of it. I love Julia Whelan as she always gives a truly wonderful performance. Although there are things that are beyond the scope of an actual witch, i found the majority of her details are very accurate. I highly recommend this series for all lovers of magick

Best Book I've Listened To In A Long Time

Let me just say, my dad is a flight medic and was deployed for 2 months after Hurricane Katrina and this story is totally believable. I literally couldn't stop listening because I was so engrossed with the story. His writing was so descriptive that I could picture every person, every event, and see all of the landscapes as they were being described. I highly recommend this book. you will not be disappointed.

Im not going to lie and say that I wasn’t constantly comparing this new book with the Charley Davidson series because I was. I think that’s why I loved it even more.
Darynda’s humor is so infectious that you can’t help but be happy while listening especially when you add Lorelei King to the mix. I really hope you all enjoy this new series as much me and I can’t wait for book 2.

Holy Plot Twist Batman!

To this this book is anything less than incredible is an understatement! The story is so beautiful and sad Aly Martinez definitely keeps her audience captivated. Bravo to Andi and Christian on amazing duet performance as well. The last 2 minutes of this book will have your head spinning and have you quickly downloading book 2. Wow! Just Wow!

A very sexy emotional roller coaster

First, Bravo Ava and Sebastian! These two are always a fan fave with me. Second, JA Huss has done it again! Absolutely a 5 Star from me!
She somehow had my heart racing, scared one minute and horny as hell the next and crying somewhere in between! Blue, Arc and JD with stay with me for a long time. I’m not so sure I can recover from this one anytime soon. Phenomenal!
