This book had everything I look for in a romance book. true character development, steamy scenes but done in a passionate way around a budding relationship of true love . It shows how real love make you want to be a better person for each other.
I have been listening to audio books for a very long time and found my taste has changed as I do . Now a little older and wiser some steamy dark audiobooks feel like borderline abuse which seemed once hot now seems to be shallow. You wouldn't think you would fall in love with these two characters till there walls come down ,and not so easily. lastly it showed that love can be hard yet worth fighting and waiting for. ln the end these characters not only ended up as better people individually but ofcoarse together. the Happy ending is a must !

HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT!

I have listened to All the books from this author. Especially in this series. I can't believe a whole book went by and there was not ONE steamy scene. I felt like I was reading a Christian romance for YA. One of the reasons I started reading shayla black was because she knew how to wrote scenes so they didn't get stale n presented them in innovative ways. I seriously feel this book was a total sell out !

Amazing performance and story

If they gave out grammy's for narrators for audiobooks this series would deserve the best perfomance of the year!
both did great but this REALLY showed Joe Arden's range of characters n the depth of feeling that SHOULD go into each audiobook.
As far as kate Stewart goes this was an amazing story that sometimes lagged with to much back n forth. She saved A lot of the past refection for the last book which made it become a little slower. If it were spread out I think you would of had more of a balance of action , very hot love scenes and angst for each book.
considering I've only written 2 other reviews in my life I believe that alone expresses how worth it I feel it is to listen to this series

Had everything a good book needed

rarely can I find a book that has incredibly hot erotic scenes and enough action to keep me interested enough to not to want to rush to the good sex scenes. I found I was thinking about the book days after I put it down. The only reason I didnt give it a full 5 stars was because I was disappointed by the second book and felt it was lacking compared to the others. Overall this series was one of the best romance books I have read in the long time without having to go over the top offensive or seemed so incredibly unrealistic that it was hard to really picture that it could of ever been realistic enough to invest my emotions into.

I was getting board of the same old. I listened to

this audiobook I'n less than two days. I thought it would be too dark because I read a little of after dark a few months ago because of the reviews were so good so I thought it would be similar but was ready to try something new anyway. Im glad I did. although it was dark there was alot of love and a range of other emotions that I did not expect. I would suggest listening even if in the past you might of felt this authors writing was a little hard core. I think you will be surprised.

not your run of the mill plot for an erotic book

I would of liked to see this story put into o e long book instead of reading 3 . I normally live watching the way katy evans characters develop over time . I felt by the 2nd chapter of the 2nd book it was obvious how it was going to end . if that were the case I would of felt it was worth every penny. still good story and strong characters

Refreshingly unique for an over used topic of BDS<br />

I really enjoyed the series. at times it was a little darker when Monica would look like she had been raped. All other times I was r outing for Jonathan except when he crossed that line. I get the concept of pleasure n pain mixing nit a don't feel anyone should be OK with bruises to that degree lasting LONG after the pleasure. can't believe anyone could call that love.. but most of what was going on was WRITEN WELL.
