A great extension of the story
Revisado: 08-07-22
Very much enjoyed continued adventures of the Sorenson clan. I read the original Fablehaven series in physical books, was hesitant about trying the audible but had a long day of busy work and gave it a try. Went through it much faster than I would have been able to sit and read a book for, which is kind of a shame, but the performance was engrossing and enjoyable.

Historia
There's an 80 percent chance you're poor. Time poor, that is. Four out of five adults report feeling that they have too much to do and not enough time to do it. These time-poor people experience less joy each day. They laugh less. They are less healthy, less productive, and more likely to divorce. In one study, time stress produced a stronger negative effect on happiness than unemployment. How can we escape the time traps that make us feel this way and keep us from living our best lives?

Do not like narrator
Revisado: 10-24-21
I can’t get beyond my aversion to the narrator. No idea how the content is. An hour of listening is all I could muster.

Historia
Elsa is seven years old and different. Her grandmother is 77 years old and crazy, standing-on-the-balcony-firing-paintball-guns-at-men-who-want-to-talk-about-Jesus crazy. She is also Elsa's best and only friend. At night Elsa takes refuge in her grandmother's stories, in the Land of Almost-Awake and the Kingdom of Miamas, where everybody is different and nobody needs to be normal.

Artfully Written
Revisado: 10-17-16
I came to this title after reading Backman's first title "A Man Called Ove". The tales are not interrelated but the delightful nature of his writing is paralleled between the two books. I recommend his books for anyone! Engaging, funny, imaginative, relatable and highly entertaining are all words I would use to describe this book. And, for the record, I'm generally hard to please. I shared his books with my elderly mother in law who is typically entrenched in deeply serious biographical, historical or political novels - these books are a total departure from those genres - and in her words she "couldn't put them down!" A true pleasure to read - I recommend Backman's novels to anyone who wants to check into an artfully detailed alternate universe.

Historia
The debut psychological thriller that will forever change the way you look at other people's lives. Every day the same. Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning and night. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. Jess and Jason, she calls them. Their life - as she sees it - is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.

Great Title, Intriguing Story
Revisado: 08-22-15
I enjoyed this listen much more than I thought I would - I hit play every chance I got. The performance is great, flow of the story keeps you interested, and I loved hearing the same moments retold from the different perspectives of each character. The characters feel real and identifiable and I didn't see the ending coming. All in all a great listen!
