Historia
The collapse of The Flow, the interstellar pathway between the planets of the Interdependency, has accelerated. Entire star systems - and billions of people - are becoming cut off from the rest of human civilization. This collapse was foretold through scientific prediction...and yet, even as the evidence is obvious and insurmountable, many still try to rationalize, delay and profit from, these final days of one of the greatest empires humanity has ever known.

Historia
Ralph Elllison's Invisible Man is a monumental novel, one that can well be called an epic of modern American Negro life. It is a strange story, in which many extraordinary things happen, some of them shocking and brutal, some of them pitiful and touching—yet always with elements of comedy and irony and burlesque that appear in unexpected places. It is a book that has a great deal to say and which is destined to have a great deal said about it.

Gets off track with the views of the time.
Revisado: 10-14-16
Very 70's. The "deep thinking" of the time period takes away from the story and makes it disjointed to listen to.
Good performance.

Historia
In a scrap heap within an abandoned factory, the greatest invention in history lies dormant and unused. By what fatal error of judgment has its value gone unrecognized, its brilliant inventor punished rather than rewarded for his efforts? In defense of those greatest of human qualities that have made civilization possible, one man sets out to show what would happen to the world if all the heroes of innovation and industry went on strike.

Rand Bandwagon...
Revisado: 07-10-16
If you want to learn the fundamentals of Ayn Rands beliefs this is the book to read. That being said, the characters repeat themselves often to instill their beliefs or lack thereof. The first half of the book was tolerable. The second half was just silly to me. Extreme characters saying and doing extreme things to prove common sense points. Oh and yeah, we should worship the dollar.

The first book is ok. The other two are weak.
Revisado: 12-08-15
The first book had a couple of plot twists that made the book. Unfortunately the lack of character development made for a long series. The main character was supposed to be this awesome guy who just can't catch a break. Yet everything goes easy for him and his crew and when it does not a piece of tech that he did not know about magically shows up to help him take over control of the "bad guys" brains and body's.
Throght the story the protagonist has it out for him yet is scarred of him. The reasons are a joke and make no sense because they continue put him in the exact situation they do not want. Even to the point of bringing him out of retirement from the army. He of course keeps breaking up all there evil plans yet they keep taking steps so he will be against them. It reminds me of Austin Powers when the son says "let's just shoot him, I have a gun we can do it together ". Of course they have to make an elaborate trap that puts him in the best possible position.
This does not even get into all the other characters. Good or bad there was no development. I had to rewind a few times just to even remember who died and I couldn't care less who got killed and who did not. The closest it came was for one character to mention that he used to be a fun practical joker before. Wow, super endearing.
Plot was weak, characters were no more than names on a page. Quite a let down.

Alright.
Revisado: 09-06-15
I got this because Kramer was the narrator. It was an alright listen but I had a hard time with the timeline. Without any noticeable segway the book would jump timeline and characters.
I found myself jumping back quite a bit to double check where a point would switch. Making things more confusing was the mutiple names for a character.
