Historia
Valerie Dearborn wants a life as light and fluffy as cotton candy, but it's more like a puffer fish: pointy, unusual, and - if not prepared exactly right - deadly. In London for graduate school, Val knows she's finally free. Her father and ex-almost-boyfriend are back in California and she's out of the Vampire hunting biz for good. Or is she? She draws the attention of Lucas, a 1600 year old Vampire, and King to his kind. He's also wicked hot.

Historia
After surviving being kidnapped by a vampire, Faith would just love to focus on some alone time with her hot (though occasionally furry) boyfriend, Lucas. Unfortunately, with a vampire uprising on the horizon and her best friend, Derek, about to wake up and find himself transformed into a half-werewolf, half-vampire being without a beating heart, Faith has a few other things to take care of first.

Pleasantly Surprised
Revisado: 03-16-13
I thought the 21 year old author did an awesome job thinking this world up with Vampires and Werewolfs that are used so often in books, and It didnt make me think of Twilight through the entire 2 books, maybe at the beginning cause I think any Vampire book written after Twilight is automatically going to be compared to by Twilight lovers from now on.. She had great characters, with lots of issues that young adults really deal with like friendships, sex, drugs, peer pressure, partying, clubing, drinking too much and dealing with the Crazy ex's, but with the added killer Vampires and falling in love with Werewolfs.. I loved how the Werewolfs are the Immortal keepers of the humans from the Vampires, and are all around the world in packs to keep us safe by finding Vampire lairs.. Im excited for the 3rd book..

Gene is different from everyone else around him. He can't run with lightning speed, sunlight doesn't hurt him and he doesn't have an unquenchable lust for blood. Gene is a human, and he knows the rules. Keep the truth a secret. It's the only way to stay alive in a world of night—a world where humans are considered a delicacy and hunted for their blood.

Scary vampire creatures
Revisado: 03-16-13
What did you love best about The Hunt?
I Loved how it wasnt your typical Vampire story, they were scary, disgusting creatures that were nolonger human, they drooled, ticked, slept upside down, could walk on all fours on the walls and ceilings like spiders and would eat you alive if you started to sweat not just suck your blood..I loved the fact that the main character made it that long living beside the creatures with so much confidence and perfection, I would have been eaten in a day..I love stories that scare me and this one and the first one did...
What other book might you compare The Hunt to and why?
I just read this book called The Farm by Emily Mckay, it had creatures that were similar, disgusting and would eat you on sight, the only difference is it had humans in camps collecting blood for the creatures...
Which scene was your favorite?
I liked when the human girl revealed herself, I guessed from the beginning she was one, and that was right after she convinced the creature boy to wear the sunscreen and run out in the sun and try and eat the humans being farmed, she knew he wouldnt make it and we'll he didnt get that far, that was soo gross and kinda funny...Also when the humans escaped and were running down the river and they were being chased but did see how many were really chasing them until the lightning struck and blinded them for a short period but showed that there were hundreds of the ticks following them, omg, I was shaking for them...
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
I dont know but it would make a kickass movie...
Any additional comments?
Cant wait for the third.....

Loved how it ended
Revisado: 03-16-13
What did you love best about Requiem?
I thought it was brilliant that Lauren Oliver thought to name all of the labels us crazy people get throughout life such as Depression, Bi-Polar, Anxiety, ADHD, and soo many others Delerium and the reason we are diagnosed them are caused by Love, if you think about it, ITS SOO TRUE.. Love does drive us insane, cause us to do stupid irrational things, that we are so heavily overmedicated for.. A surgery to numb the public I dont think is too far off...lol..
What other book might you compare Requiem to and why?
Theres a few I can think of, the Wither series by Lauren DeStefano is a good one, both worlds are separated, but instead of love being the problem the women died by 25 so the men mostly wealthy had more than one wife, they were kept locked up and expected to be the perfect women that were expected of the women who were cured from Requiem, perfect housewives.. The women were seperated from there families never to see them again..
What about Sarah Drew’s performance did you like?
She has a really sweet voice and really got into playing the other characters, she did a really good job, its very emotional and I think she made me feel all the emotions the characters were feeling and I even cried a couple times
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I did listen to all of them in one sitting..
Any additional comments?
I love how it was mostly based in Portland Maine, close to were I live.. I was wondering if Lewiston Auburn or further North like Wilton,Farmington would have been the wilds.. I know everyone has lots of guns and houses in the woods so a cure would have been out for them and myself.. Love is passion and passion is life and what is life without passion?? Boring

Loved the narrator
Revisado: 12-19-12
Where does In the Arms of Stone Angels rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I listened to it in one day doing house work, young love, all hippie happy life is good when they were together.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Breanne, she was unique, funny, and took what they did to her at the party and waited, they would get what was coming..
Which scene was your favorite?
When they first met and she was worrying about the mud she rubbed all over her because her mother still dressed her, he didnt care..Love at first sight
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Breanne's love of her life is trapped in his mind after a murdered girl was found near him, she is the only one who can try to wake him. Would he forgive her for telling the sherriff he was sitting with a murdered girl and believed it herself..
Any additional comments?
I think it was the best sounding audible book. It had so much emotion, and if she was screaming it sounded like it,very different... loved it
I also loved what she thought about her mother in the beginning and she didnt think highly of her,she had a very funny way of describing her mom. They then they grew closer as her mother started to believe her and defend her...

Historia
The ancient books of Genesis and Enoch tell us that sprit beings known as the Watchers descended to the Earth, had sex with women, and begat a hybrid race of offspring known as the Nephilim. Such tales are as old as humanity itself. These histories and accounts of visitations and subsequent mixed-blood, alien-human races comprise the bulk of the world's myths, legends, religions, and superstitions.

WHAT?
Revisado: 12-19-12
One must ask, Where is my mind? I thought I would fill my mind with some knowledge on Angels getting busy with us earth women to create half-breed babies, the Nephilim.. I got dizzy with his many names & definitions with big words I might add, could of made it easy for the simple mind Showoff !! I need to go to church to get more in touch with God cause I lost him in that first hour of this audio. Is he a giant? Is his name Eloheem(spell check). Not judging but maybe this book was written while on a major trip (you know what trip I mean)that lasted however long it took to spit this chaos on audio??.. I am making fun of myself because I thought I could take it on and learn about Angel babies, but I think the entire bible and book of Enoch was mixed in and tossed around.. Digest all of that and take a big breath is what he said...lol...
Dear God please drop one of your Angels down or send a Nephilim to my door to explain this book and give me wings, I can have children if need be... <3

Historia
Thousands of people have had near-death experiences, but scientists have argued that they are impossible. Dr. Eben Alexander was one of those scientists. Neurosurgeon Alexander knew that NDEs feel real, but are simply fantasies produced by brains under extreme stress. Then, Dr. Alexander’s own brain was attacked by a rare illness. The part of the brain that controls thought and emotion shut down completely. For seven days he lay in a coma. Then Alexander’s eyes popped open. He had come back. Alexander’s recovery is a medical miracle. But the real miracle of his story lies elsewhere.

Reminder to Embrace the Unknown
Revisado: 11-07-12
The thought that this doctors/scientist who had a near-death experience and wanted to share it with the world and have no doubts about it and said soo many times it was as real as life. To me in my heart listening rather than reading and hearing the emotion in his voice it was so believable and soo full of hope. He explained it with so much colorful detail and emotion Ill admit made me cry a few times..
For me, my husband who lost his mother and believes there is nothing after this, I told him about this doctors experience and about his sister being his guide in the end, I know made him think about it and I know I saw a little hope in his eyes that all the pain she went through was not for nothing and made me wonder which one of her loved ones was waiting for her when she left us..
Im also a believer in meditation and practice it as much as I can since I was young, as I still am in my almost 33yrs of living. I've had some weird experiences with meditation and saw some beautiful things that sometimes I thought had to be a dream but I know it was more, it had to be. The doctor inspires me to keep on meditating, and reminds me that we are more than our bodies and that we are not alone.
I know my mind is full of crazyness and as he explained in lots of expressive words some of his experiences with his mind (who does'nt want to have an out of body experience,or float?) he had since he was a child and like him in my teen years in the 90's I experimented probably too much with my friends but dont regret any of it for I have many of my own amazing memories of my experences with what the mind can show you and do..
The doctors words of life, love and his experience reminded me to always keep an open mind and to Embrace the Unknown. Also while listening to his magical experience I was thinking of the bands who have had a big part in my life and still do with lyrics and melodys that helped me open up my mind when I was young and as needed to this day and forever will when I need a reminder that there is more..
