Historia
In 2014, Theranos founder and CEO Elizabeth Holmes was widely seen as the next Steve Jobs: a brilliant Stanford dropout whose startup “unicorn” promised to revolutionize the medical industry with its breakthrough device, which performed the whole range of laboratory tests from a single drop of blood. Backed by investors such as Larry Ellison and Tim Draper, Theranos sold shares in a fundraising round that valued the company at more than $9 billion, putting Holmes’s worth at an estimated $4.5 billion.

Fascinating Story
Revisado: 10-06-18
Fascinating story. One of the most engaging business stories I have ever read. It is very interesting to follow the full history and understand how something so unbelievable could happen.

Historia
Half of all Americans have money in the stock market, yet economists can't agree on whether investors and markets are rational and efficient, as modern financial theory assumes, or irrational and inefficient, as behavioral economists believe - and as financial bubbles, crashes, and crises suggest. This is one of the biggest debates in economics, and the value or futility of investment management and financial regulation hang on the outcome. In this groundbreaking book, Andrew W. Lo cuts through this debate with a new framework.

Everything and nothing
Revisado: 06-15-18
There are some very interesting ideas, but I found many things too broad. For example, he say the efficient market is a special case of the adaptive markets. As such, it seems so broad that it seems to lack much usefulness.
