Historia
A masterpiece of satire, this classic has entertained and enlightened readers the world over with its sly and ironic portrayal of human life from the vantage point of Screwtape, a highly placed assistant to "Our Father Below". At once wildly comic, deadly serious, and strikingly original, C. S. Lewis gives us the correspondence of the worldly-wise old devil to his nephew Wormwood, a novice demon in charge of securing the damnation of an ordinary young man. The Screwtape Letters is the most engaging and humorous account of temptation - and triumph over it - ever written.

For good reason one of the most commonly read books of the last century.

Well done, well written. I’m not crazy about the college speech part but it does not take away from the work.

Nick Offerman is great, as is his custom

Things like this amazing. It really showed mark twain in all of his complexity as a person and as a result show how complicated his times were. My favorite aspect is how it really makes me empathize with all the pain and joys of his life. Only reason for the lack of five stars is that I felt like the had to many people involved and so couldn’t fully utilize them all.

Historia
Greater Dunitsa is the most wonderful place on Earth. At least that’s what the town leaders think. If only they didn’t have to put up with young Rizka, the free-spirited gypsy girl. Ever since her mother died and her father moved on, she has lived with her cat Pesto in a cart just outside town. Rizka walks around Greater Dunitsa in her ragbag clothes, playing sharp-witted tricks on deserving rogues. The leaders are convinced she is bad for business. The day the chief councilor finds his roast chicken in Pesto’s hungry jaws is too much for the frustrated man. He hatches a fail-safe plan to get rid of the sassy gypsy girl and her troublesome pet.

One of my favorite children's books and the narrator does a good job reading it.
