Great trilogy

This trilogy is a great escape. It is an eclectic genre: science fiction, love story but not quite, with plenty of historical snippets It is similar to Outlander in that respect, if you are familiar with the series. Paullina Simons is a very generous, she gives you a richly written material not limited to a number of words like some of the other ‘formula’ writers, especially in romance.

Not for the faint of heart

This book is not an easy one. The characters are full of passion but they never accept one another as they are instead there is a never ending battle of wills between them, between them and god’s will or what they perceive as such. The book is full of anguish, frustration and heroism that is probably true from historical perspective but can get you down if you let it.
