Historia
It seemed the unthinkable had happened. Someone had actually targeted the Ghalian, an order of assassins known and feared across the systems. It was madness. Only a fool would go after the likes of them. But, it seemed, the galaxy had no shortage of fools. Retaliation most bloody was in order, and one man stood ready to spring into action. Hozark was his name, and he was no ordinary man. He was a Master Ghalian, an assassin skilled in the ways of death. Practical, mechanical, magical, to him it made no difference.

Really incredible plot, buuuut
Revisado: 05-12-23
The core plot of the story was really well thought out all the way to the twists at the end.
But…
The over abundance of facts constantly repeated was just too much. If the author had dropped the nauseating level of repetition and over indulgence of the main characters, you’d probably only have 1 maaaybeee 2 books!
The main protagonist was evident since Book 2, and ALL signs pointed at the deception unfolding (I do not want to give too much away) pretty blatantly.
The Narrator did a good job with subtle nuances between characters which I am amazed at how well people can change their voice between subjects.
Again, really great plot, just the repetition of factoids every other paragraph was painful!

Absolutely amazing series!
Revisado: 01-22-20
Just the right balance of intrigue, drama, plot and fantasy. I actually found myself leaning forward waiting for a part to reach it’s climax and then falling back in joy or sadness. The end was absolutely perfect!

I grew up in the 80’s and this book hit all the right cords with me! It was not only well written, but Wil Wheaton did an AWESOME JOB narrating!
As soon as I am finished typing this review up, I am downloading Cline’s next book, “Armada”
Thank you Ernest Cline

Sorry, but a struggle to get thru...
Revisado: 05-27-17
Please understand, I do not think I could do any better, but this series was pretty bad.
In every story there was:
A lie that laid between them and could ruin their relationship
A woman who wanted the main character and his overly done and awkward defenses
Amazing coincidences that lead to the same general conclusions every time
Very awkward "romantic moments"
Same tired explanations and an over usage of adverbs and adjectives everywhere!
If the same explanations were eliminated, the stories would be about 30 or 40 pages long.
All three stories were like copies of the others and there was no originality after the first one. Throughout the journey, it was painfully easy to see where the author was going with the reveals.

Historia
Most people think of snipers as shooters perched in urban hides, dealing out death unseen from a considerable distance. But this description barely scratches the surface. Special operations snipers are men with stacked skill sets who have the ability to turn the tide of battles, even when they aren't pulling the trigger. Snipers have played an outsized role in the War on Terror that has earned them the Medal of Honor, Navy Cross, and countless other honors.

Historia
The 75th Ranger Regiment is a unique and distinct culture among the American military establishment. They stand alone, even among our other Special Operations forces, as the most active brigade-sized force in the current Global War on Terrorism. Since 9/11, the Regiment has been the only continuously engaged unit in the Army, and has had 40 percent of its number deployed in harm's way for the last decade. Their mission is unique. Rangers do not patrol, they don't train allied forces, nor do they engage in routine counterinsurgency duties. They have a single-mission focus.
