Historia
When Mallon the Undying threatened the land years ago, the elves stopped him - and then disappeared. Now Mallon's followers seek to bring him back to finish what he started. Only the Keepers - storytellers, historians, and magic-wielders - are left to stand against them. Alaric, who betrayed everything he believed to save his wife - and still failed. A fine story for teenagers
Revisado: 07-13-23
The triology is a good series for people getting in to fantasy, are young or simply have not read much. But if you are well versed in books and specificly fantasy there are a couple of things that becomes annoying. But overall an okey story

A somewhat good series.
Revisado: 04-14-23
This is sort of a rating on all 3 of the books since most people probably dont only read one.
The first and third book are both written in a similar style with a flowing story progression, but the second book is written in a very abruptly changing way, jumping from character to character in a way that makes it annoying to listen to. You dont realy get to have any flow in the story.
The story itself is good with a easy style probably intended to young adults. The magic system and history is not fleashed out enough to be called detailed. The characters seems to flow from being smart to be stupid to be smart again and do not realy feel believeable. Time is also hard to get a good grip of. does something take a few weeks or is it years we speak of?
Narrator does a fine job.
Overall a 3 star production.

Historia
As a child, Chris Hooper dreamed of monsters. But in deep space, he found only darkness and isolation. Then, on planet LV178, he and his fellow miners discovered a storm-scoured, sand-blasted hell - and trimonite, the hardest material known to man. When a shuttle crashes into the mining ship Marion, the miners learn that there was more than trimonite deep in the caverns. There was evil, hibernating and waiting for suitable prey.

Pretty interesting
Revisado: 07-26-22
Interesting concept of having a incident happening to Ripley between the movies Alien and Aliens. Its nicely crafted and the story is pretty good, but like allways in the instances with the xenomorph people are freakin stupid. There are so many times the characters are insanely naive of what an ai can do and what would be the smartest choice to make in a specific situation.

Insanely funny bantering
Revisado: 05-29-22
So first of... the MC is stupid. Like insanely, horribly, lifethreatningly stupid.
I don't like stupid characters, and books with them tend to make me annoyed (which this book does) but the main point of this book is the incredible dynamic between the sidecharacters and the MC. Listening to the first 4 and this box made me burst out laughing multiple times.
If you are looking for some pure gold in edgy humor and perfection in banter between very close friends, look no further.

There are reasons we fear the night. He's not one of them. Bill Ryder was a dateless geek until he met a girl to die for. So he did. Sadly, that was just the beginning of his troubles. He awoke as a vampire, but fangs or not, he was still at the bottom of the food chain. Join Bill in this hilarious tale of immortal monsters and the man who's not afraid to flip them off, even if it gets him killed - again.

Good fantasy for teenagers.
Revisado: 05-02-22
Like the title says its good for teenagers... not so much for adults. The characters are really stupid for their described age and experience. Parts of the plot is really weak and feels very forced to get the story to a specific point.

Veery basic fantasy
Revisado: 11-02-21
Now, this book is alright. The story has some interesting ideas. But if there has ever been a more basic, nonedescript fantasy story I've not heard about it. *SMALL SPOILERS* The main character goes from newly minted slave to an expert of his slavers daily routine and practises within a scentence. Characters are described with name, age, haircolor and eyecolor. Maincharacter goes from mouthy, arrogant peseant into a mouthy arrogant bodyguard of a princess within a couple of hours (in story time, not hours of the book) because he defeated a mage that were going to execute him for breaking a law. Things just happen without direct motivation.
The narrator has an awesome voice but he slams his performance by doing waay to grovly voices for too many characters which, paired up with heavy accents, sometimes becomes impossible to understand.
EDIT: Fter having finished the entire book, my rating is still the same. Very basic plot, very flat characters and mumbly narration.
