Editor missing

Narration was a joy. However, story went on way too long too much detail too many loops. Enjoyed the description of the places in Australia in the customs, etc. but felt like it would never end sometimes. Overall well written, just needed editor

Way ahead of it's time
Revisado: 05-28-19
These savvy investigative reporters did an amazing job teasing out the facts of the backroom deals, the duplicity and lies of the current occupant in the white house. An incredibly good read with abundance of documentation. Clearly this book was passed over by the Murdoch press corps. The truth is still emerging...but Russian Roulette was had of the story.

Historia
In her New York Times best seller White Rage, Carol Anderson laid bare an insidious history of policies that have systematically impeded black progress in America, from 1865 to our combustible present. With One Person, No Vote, she chronicles a related history: the rollbacks to African American participation in the vote since the 2013 Supreme Court decision that eviscerated the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Known as the Shelby ruling, this decision effectively allowed districts with a demonstrated history of racial discrimination to change voting requirements without approval from the Department of Justice.

Carol Anderson is a phenomenal historian and she writes really well. Narrated by the hugely talented Janina Edwards. A guidebook to a chance to save this democratic system.

Historia
Loaded: A Disarming History of the Second Amendment is a deeply researched - and deeply disturbing - history of guns and gun laws in the United States, from the original colonization of the country to the present. As historian and educator Dunbar-Ortiz explains, in order to understand the current obstacles to gun control, we must understand the history of US guns, from their role in the "settling of America" and the early formation of the new nation, and continuing up to the present.

Extremely important historical telling.
Revisado: 05-28-19
This book is not easy, but it is so very Important to everyone living in America today. This is our history, our karma, our responsibility to understand and teach. Dunbar-Ortiz does it again after "An Indigenous History of the US" Also a must read. It took a very long time for the audio version of LOADED to be produced. Dunbar-Ortiz is a force of nature.

Great Read Best Narration ever!
Revisado: 05-28-19
A journey into a time when women had "the power" but men held an interesting role as "readers/" not sure why women weren't reading, but the story is super enthralling and the narration is by the infamous and wonderful Janina Edwards. That alone is worth the read.
