I really enjoyed the personal examples of each stage of growth that were explained from every angle. I feel empowered to lift myself out of a dark and difficult past.

Historia
Many years ago, Claire was named Head Librarian of the Unwritten Wing - a neutral space in Hell where all the stories unfinished by their authors reside. Her job consists mainly of repairing and organizing books, but also of keeping an eye on restless stories that risk materializing as characters and escaping the library. When a Hero escapes from his book and goes in search of his author, Claire must track and capture him with the help of former muse and current assistant Brevity and nervous demon courier Leto.

The trouble with librarians
Revisado: 03-19-22
Everyone has a story. Truly well written, fast moving tale. Unique in its characters bringing in myth and mythos.
Hells library only called that because of its location, houses all the works of writers who can’t or couldn’t finish their tales. Unfinished characters thirst to be completed, escape their pages to encourage their Authors to tidy up their writing. God is missing and her angels are trying to keep heaven together without her.
Colorful, gender sensitive and charmingly romantic.
The narrator does this book a fine turn.

Historia
On a freezing Christmas Eve in 1879, a forensic psychic reader is summoned from her Baker Street lodgings to the scene of a questionable death. Alexandrina Victoria Pendlebury (named after her godmother, the current queen of England) is adamant that the death in question is a magically compromised murder and not a suicide, as the police had assumed. After the shocking revelation contained by the body in question, Alex must put her personal loss aside to uncover the deeper issues at stake, before more bodies turn up.

TOTAL GUN NUTZ
Revisado: 02-22-22
This cookie cutter Victorian ‘drama’ was written simply to put a gun in every characters hand.
What kinda whacko is this author? I’m betting a fear filled nut job who sleeps with a hand gun under their pillow.
Maybe I should block my name so he/she/they/it don’t come after me…?

For five grand a month and a million-dollar chaser, Roger Mulligan didn't care how crazy the old geezer was. All he had to do was keep Joseph Perry Shackleford alive and keep him from squandering the estate for a year. But they didn't tell him about the pixies.

Another great Paranormal Detective story
Revisado: 01-03-21
Loved the tone and pace of this tale. So much like Jim Butcher’s Dresden Files, any one of his fans would be pleased. This story even has little shout outs to Jim.
Hope there is more from Mr Sanchez

Historia
Xanthe has always had an affinity with some of the antiques she finds. When she touches them, she can sense something of the past they come from and the stories they hold. When she has an intense connection to a beautiful silver chatelaine, she has to know more. It is while she’s examining the chatelaine that she’s transported back to the 17th century, where it has its origins. She discovers there is an injustice in its history. The spirit that inhabits her new home confronts her and charges her with saving her daughter’s life, threatening to take Flora’s if she fails.

So many found things
Revisado: 04-10-20
I enjoyed this book. I want to spend my weekend browsing in this little village, eating cakes and drinking tea. The way life was written into the joys and pains of the characters had me thinking about them when I was away from the book. This mystery was interesting and fun. Often I would stop to look up places in this story and hoped to find these characters might be real . Time travel can be problematic to us as a storyline and as a vehicle, often disappoints me. Here what I found was a mildly satisfying explanation for the fate of someone from the past having influence on our main hero. All in all, I enjoyed it and am now suffering a book hang over

Carolyn's not so different from the other human beings around her. After all, she was a normal American herself once. That was a long time ago, of course - before the time she calls "adoption day", when she and a dozen other children found themselves being raised by a man they learned to call Father.

Nothing makes any sense in this book.
I'm sorry, it feels like we go from one stupid event to another without any explanation, is it zombies? is it vampires? is it ghosts or immortals?

Historia
Greece in the age of heroes. Patroclus, an awkward young prince, has been exiled to the kingdom of Phthia to be raised in the shadow of King Peleus and his golden son, Achilles. “The best of all the Greeks”—strong, beautiful, and the child of a goddess—Achilles is everything the shamed Patroclus is not. Yet despite their differences, the boys become steadfast companions. Their bond deepens as they grow into young men and become skilled in the arts of war and medicine—much to the displeasure and the fury of Achilles’ mother, Thetis, a cruel sea goddess with a hatred of mortals.

I just wanted to be told a story.
Revisado: 01-22-20
I love books with real story telling. They don't need torture or overly detailed sexual escapades. If you want a teenage sexual unrequited love tale and need to know how other people have sex, maybe you'll enjoy this book.
Too much information for my taste.

Revisado: 01-22-20
Really, I could not get past chapter 10 and I skipped three chapters before it. If you like your women beaten and bloody, you're going to love this book. Not me. If you can't write a story don't sell me your sexual fantasies.
