Blown away by how much better this is than anything else I have tried

I have done a Goethe institute course (mostly online) and tried text books and teachers and haven’t been able to able to form more than the most basic german sentences. I am only a 1/3 of the way through and all of a sudden I can often express what I want and typically my grammar is correct (my husband speaks German).
I am both shocked at how hard I found German before trying this and how easy it suddenly feels by comparison. I cannot recommend this more.
I do have some basic German, so I am not a complete beginner, however, I think this would be a great start for beginners, one may need to repeat sections a few times.
You won’t find anything better to get you started though!

A good addition to the DFZ universe

This is not my favourite Rachel Aaron, it’s still an engaging read and a very good story, well narrated. I give it five stars as even a little lower than her best is still better than the rest.
I look forward to the next book.

I listened to this while I ran and Anna’s ups and downs kept me engaged throughout :)
Well worth a credit. Anna’s reading of the book is definitely a plus.

Wonderful series

It has been a while since I found a good YA series. This is an excellent one. A bit dark, but very imaginative and well written. Well worth the credits.

I was in the mood for a romance and there is a lot to like about this one. Main character is strong and likeable. However, the transition of the male lead from a out of reach, unpleasant (boarding on abusive) personality to a soft, adoring puppy is just to unsupported, rapid and unbelievable. In the end I couldn’t finish it. Disappointing.

I bought this because I enjoyed “Penryn and the End of Days” series very much, particularly the first two books.
Sadly, this book underwhelmed me. The characters were one demential, the relationships unbelievable and the story simplistic.
Very disappointing.

Sweet and enjoyable

This book is sweet. Not a racy romance but a nice, sweet story with decent world and character building and plot.
Well narrated and likeable characters.
Only complaint is that it is book one of a series and feels a little short :)

Buroker’s best series yet

This is a huge favourite for me and my family. Have already read on kindle but love the audible edition also. Buroker’s best series yet. Great characters, wonderful story. Funny.
You will love it, and what a bargain to get three books for one credit :)
