Historia
Rescuing a woman dressed in a nightdress at a costume ball? That worked for me. And holding her up against the wall, to shield her from the cops, was pure enjoyment. Driving with her to a barbecue, a fruit salad in my lap, and her twins - her girl twins - in the back seat? Out of my comfort zone. And that was before she started asking me for dating lessons, and wondering how to explain that she couldn’t have sex before marriage. I had it under control, though. I was coping. Until four sisters of mine decided to go looking for their sperm donor.

Amazing Audiobook
Revisado: 04-15-22
I read the ebook but the audio version was amazing. I connected more by listening to the accents, the characters, and the emotions really came out.
Emma and Tom did such an wonderful job bringing the Characters of Laila and Lachlan to life and the kids, simply amazing. I just love listening to Laila's twins they are adorable. Laila is widowed and has twin daughters, Lachlan lives his life as an adventure and has not interest in marriage or kids especially after helping raise his four sisters. That is until he meets Laila.
I enjoyed listening to this audiobook and learning a bit more about the Muslim culture. I love how Laila's daughters fall for Lachlan as quickly as she does, maybe even before! The road was rocky but so worth it in the end.

Historia
Luka Darkovic has some tackling skills. He hadn’t planned on using them to bring down a runaway dog the size of a Shetland pony, especially not when his neck is already buggered. At 33, a rugby forward protects his vertebrae.... He’s even less happy when the dog’s incompetent owner turns up in his hospital cubicle the next day with a plan to fix those vertebrae. He prefers his life simple and his neurosurgeons drama-free. And definitely less distracting.

Always a pleasure to read!
Revisado: 09-27-21
Another home run for Ms. James' and Emma Wilder. This dynamic duo is amazing and I never get tired of listening to Emma narrate Ms. James books. She writes one heck of a story and Emma knows just how to deliver it in audio.
Elizabeth is a hard working Neurosurgeon from the USA who has broken up with her boyfriend and finds herself in need of a reboot. Off to New Zealand she goes. She runs into Luca who is a rugby player and has been for many years. He's facing some possible career ending medical issues. They both are very focused on their jobs. Just One Look, is a journey of two people who came from not wonderful family backgrounds, they find healing with one another, and they find a steamy romance as well. There are lot of bumps in the road, but the 80min man will always show up. You will laugh, there's a huge slobbery dog that doesn't listen well and likes very delicate undergarments, and you will cry when you hear Elizabeth's mom's story, and you may even get a little hot and bothered while reading those steamy love scenes.
I will listen to this story again, it's a wonderful story line and I can't enough of Rosalind and Emma work!!

Historia
When discipline is your life, structure’s a good thing, and Owen Johnson’s got plenty of both. An All-Pro NFL center who’s also a cattle rancher? Yeah, that’s structure. His marriage didn’t work out, but then, he picked the wrong woman. A Wyoming ranch doesn’t look nearly as romantic up close. Not to a model, anyway. Next time, he’ll choose better. Not, for example, a 19-year-old ball of fire like Dyma Cardello, who’s just starting on her own journey. To become an astronautical engineer. After about five years of schooling. Which she’s focused on like, well, a rocket.

Lots of laughs and emotions
Revisado: 06-23-21
I was happy to see Rosalind James write Dyma and Owen's story. As always Ms. James describes her characters so well and the location they are at or situation so thoroughly you feel as though you are right there. I felt like I was back in my freshman year of college. She also covered the football games very well.
I loved following Dyma and Owen through their daily life's and struggling to keep their relationship strong. I love how strong Owen is and he's always there for anyone who needs him, friend or family. Dyma is a spunky breathe of fresh air. Emma Wilder does an amazing job narrating Ms. James book as always she reads with emotion, switches characters voices with ease and is just an overall pleasure to listen to. This will be a repeat on my audio books.

Historia
Harlan Kristiansen may not be good at many things, but he can sure catch a pass. He’s an All-Pro at charming a room, too, and then there’s that Norse God thing. He can even figure out how to tackle a woman and save her from a charging bison. On skis. What happens when you drop that game-winning pass, though, and your house is too big, too weird, and too empty? When your dad’s a mean drunk, your mom took off a long time ago and stayed gone, and all your money can’t keep your little sister safe? You fall back on what you know, that’s what.

I got it
Revisado: 02-17-21
Shame the Devil is Book 3 in the series however, you don't need to listen to the previous ones to listen to this amazing story. For those that have an appearance from Dakota and Blake is a added benefit.
Jennifer is a single mom of an 18yr old who's about to lose her job. While checking out a resort for her boss she meets Harlan Kristiansen who is there with his teammate having a weekend away from all the football drama. He runs into Jennifer and her daughter Dyma. Their story is fun, exciting, sad and moving.
Ms. James writes an amazing story with yet outstanding characters with such great stories to tell. This book will have you laughing, crying, and perhaps fanning yourself from those steamy scenes. ( make sure your volume is down if listening in the car) As always Emma Wilder does a fantastic job narrating the story. She is able to switch characters with ease and flows from one to the next. She brings great emotion to the story as well. As always Rosalind and Emma are a perfect combination! I'll be listening to this again soon!

Historia
People who say “love is trust” probably didn’t grow up in a cult. My name is Daisy Nabhitha Kittredge. I chose it myself. As an RN in the emergency department in one of New Zealand’s largest hospitals, there wasn’t much left in me of the 16-year-old girl, covered from neck to ankle and not allowed to make eye contact with a boy, who’d run away with five dollars in her pocket and terror in her heart.

So Strong
Revisado: 08-30-20
Ms. James does it yet again with another amazing story. I learned so much about the Mount Zion cult. Not only did she discuss this very difficult topic but she also talked about CTE's. I absolutely love the combination of narrators Emma and Tom. They work so seamlessly together. It's always enjoyable listening to them tell the story.
The connection between Daisy and Grey is instantaneous. Grey is always ready to help at a moments notice when it comes to Daisy or her sisters. Grey's mother Honor also helps out Daisy and her sisters and provides the motherly love they need. Learning the way of the Outside with guidance.
This is light on the rugby but we do have some old characters pop in which is always nice. I loved reading this book and listening to it was just as enjoyable. I highly recommend.

State of my professional life: Brilliant, if counted in terms of sales of eight Poppy Cantwell children's books starring my often-confused blue hippo, Hazel; the very substantial proceeds from selling my Kiwi Adventures New Zealand glamping business; and any number of glossy magazine articles about my charmed existence. Of course, I couldn't seem to write or draw anymore, but that would pass. Surely.

The Narrators make this book even better
Revisado: 05-27-20
I am so glad Poppy and Matiu got their own story in Stone Cold Kiwi! Ms. James writes the most amazing real life stories and when she adds these two wonderful narrators, well you have beyond perfection. I absolutely loved reading this book and the audiobook is just even better. Emma captures the children's voices so well especially Olivia, what a feisty girl she is! I am so glad Ms. James added a male narrator for this story, Tom Janson. Tom and Emma work so well together it was a seamless transition between scenes.
Poppy is a married to a man who she finds out after delivering their 3rd child is cheating on her. This book covers a strong woman going through postpartum hormones, breast feeding, divorce, falling in love again, and managing her kids, home and career. A man who is tired of being the playboy he's always been and wants to settle down and have a family. Ms. James captures all those mom moments so well, as well as those special family moments. We get to visit with Koro again who I just adore, he can never die-just saying. I highly recommend this not you typical romance book with a HEA. I love it for so many reasons, it's real, it's family and it has some hard topics. I will be listening to this book again very soon.

Historia
Christmas means summer in New Zealand and All Blacks wedding season, too. Plans made and plans changed, because no matter how well you plan, life happens. Especially if, say, you’re marrying your late husband’s brother, you’ve got a couple of kids in the mix, and everybody’s talked too much about all that already. And then, there’s the rest of the family. A stepbrother who’s carried too big a secret for 30 years and needs to lay that burden down.

Revisado: 03-17-20
I can never say enough good things about Rosalind James and Emma, they are a great combination. Great story telling from Rosalind and Emma does a fantastic job conveying it to the listeners. Just Say Christmas is one big happy story. Many characters from past books show up and have their stories continued. This was such an emotional book I could just feel the characters feelings with Emma reading. She does the children's voice so well. So much in this book, family, love, relationship struggles, fear and happiness. It's a must listen This will be on my replay list.

Historia
You don’t find many too-pretty rich boys in the New Zealand Defense Force. Turns out there’s a reason for that. Fortunately, you can find your true self in the oddest places. Of course, you can lose yourself in those places, too - at least some pieces of you. Since I was back home with a new leg, some facial alterations, and time on my hands, I might as well help out my sister. Showing a buyer around New Zealand’s ecotourism sites, having a few adrenaline-fueled adventures? Fine. It wasn’t like I’d never been camping, unlike the walking tornado that was Miss Karen Sinclair.

My Resting Place
Revisado: 07-24-19
Kiwi Rules is the first book in a new series by Rosalind James. We first met Karen in Not Quite a Billionaire Series. She's all grown up now and back in New Zealand to figure out her next steps in life. Jax is a wounded warrior who is home on medical leave. Neither knew they needed each other till they met.
This books has all the feels, I loved listening to every minute. Having a female and male narrators took some getting used to and I'm not completely sold on John Hartley's voice for Karen, but it didn't deter me. The emotions throughout this book will have you thinking, may make you cry and certainly laugh. You can tell Ms. James did her research on both Karen's career and Jax 's disability. That is one of the things I love most about reading Ms. James' books you know you are getting real information not made up stuff.
I loved having Hemi and Hope, Karen's sister and brother in law make an appearance. You can also most feel the brotherly love Hemi has for Karen it's so warming. I wish I had a way with words like Ms. James does to describe just how touching this book is. The love Karen and Jax have for each other, is amazing. I will be listening to this again.

Historia
Rhys Fletcher is not in love with his sister-in-law. That would be a very, very bad idea, and he doesn’t entertain bad ideas. He also doesn’t lie to himself. Both of those things can’t be true, so he’ll do what he’s done since the long-ago night when his brother, Dylan, turned up in an Auckland bar after a brutal rugby match between their two teams, and introduced his new girlfriend - a dark-eyed, much-too-young girl named Zora. He’ll lie. Now, his brother’s gone, and Rhys is back in New Zealand and settling into his new job as the head coach of the Auckland Blues

Revisado: 03-20-19
Probably not best to listen to this on the way to work or somewhere where you need to show your face. The emotions in this story are incredible. I love reading this book and I new the audiobook would simply be amazing too. I was not disappointed. Ms. James writes an incredible emotionally charged book and Ms. Wilder comes in and does an absolute amazing job narrating the story. She captures all the emotions of all the characters and there are all kinds of emotions in this book.
Rhys is starting his new job as the Blues head coach when he finds out he has a daughter he never knew about in the States, this all happens just as he reconnects with his brothers widow whom he's always loved but never acted on it for many reasons. His brother is dead now, she's still single and his chance is now. I can't say enough wonderful things about this book about Rhys and the family he grows. I highly recommend this audiobook. You can't go wrong with this dynamic duo Ms. James and Ms. Wilder and you can never go wrong with Ms. James' characters either. Just Come Over is fun, loving, sexy, and emotional I MUST read.

Brett Hunter’s life isn’t unicorns and rainbows, and it sure isn’t sparkles. He’s a businessman, a disciplined man, a money man, and if he ever believed in magic, it was a long time ago. He’s not a hero, and he doesn't play one on TV. Oh, and he really doesn't like the water. What’s he doing, then, on an Australian beach in a custom-made Italian suit, up to his waist in the waves and helping a red-haired mermaid save the day?

Revisado: 12-12-18
I just can't get enough of the James/Wilder Combo!!! I love how Ms. James writes, it's beautiful, meaningful, and touching. She has a way that draws you in right from the beginning and keeps you there right up to the end and when it's over- you want to cry b/c you don't want to leave the characters. Ms. Wilder seamlessly narrates Ms. James' books with ease, she nails the characters and does a wonderful job with the accents and children's voices as well.
Brett is an American visiting Australia on business. He had no idea he would fall for an Aussie, shark fighting, chef. Sexy as Sin is Brett and Willow's story. Brett showed up in Books 1 & 2 and has been a little bit of a mystery. Willow brings out his playful less serious side and we get to see a different Brett. There are some fun moments and some very touching moments, I love the way Ms. James speaks to us through the characters, so beautiful. This book will definitely be on repeat!
