Historia
The year is 1348. Thomas, a disgraced knight, has found a young girl alone in a dead Norman village. An orphan of the Black Death, and an almost unnerving picture of innocence, she tells Thomas that plague is only part of a larger cataclysm - that the fallen angels under Lucifer are rising in a second war on heaven, and that the world of men has fallen behind the lines of conflict. Is it delirium or is it faith? She believes she has seen the angels of God. She believes the righteous dead speak to her in dreams. And now she has convinced the faithless Thomas to shepherd her across a depraved landscape to Avignon.

Great story,,I have to go buy the book!
Revisado: 10-05-24
I made a mistake by getting this as an audiobook. In my opinion, this wasn't the type of story that lends itself to a work commute, lawn mowing, dish washing story. It was too interesting and detailed for that. This is the type of story that I want to physically read as this allows me to feel like I'm there. I have to read the book.
As an audiobook, the performance was good, except for Delphines vocalization.

Historia
On the planet of Per Ardua, alien artifacts were discovered - hatches that allowed humans to step across light-years of space as if they were stepping into another room. But this newfound freedom has consequences. As humanity discovers the real nature of the universe, a terrifying truth comes to light: We all have countless pasts converging in this present - and our future is terrifyingly finite. There are minds in the universe that are billions of years old, and now we are vulnerable to their plans for us.

Historia
On a night when it begins snowing in every country of the world, an ordinary group of people gather at a rundown English pub to take shelter from the cold. At first they assume the weather is just some random occurrence, but as the night goes on, strange things happen, and it isn't long before the group begin to realize that something far more sinister is at hand than just the weather. Something that none of them could ever have imagined. By the end of the night, not everyone will make it, and those that do may wish they hadn't.

I really tried to enjoy this, just couldn’t get into it. Boring as watching too snails racing.

Professional killers with the souls of artists, would-be theater directors turned Kremlin puppet-masters, suicidal supermodels, Hell's Angels who hallucinate themselves as holy warriors, and oligarch revolutionaries: welcome to the glittering, surreal heart of 21st-century Russia. It is a world erupting with new money and new power, changing so fast it breaks all sense of reality, home to a form of dictatorship far subtler than 20th century strains, that is rapidly rising to challenge the West.
