Historia
My mortal enemy seduced me in disguise. I barely survived an attack from his jealous wife. If I can save Isis and find a way to untangle the threads of Fate, I might be able to stop Zeus before he purges all magic from the world, with the aid of his beautiful and treacherous winged hunters. All I've got is a hellhound and a fallen angel and a pantheon of brooding, forgotten Greek gods.

This got dark.
Revisado: 04-10-24
It's been a few years since I read the last book in the series. I didn't do any rereads but was still able to get into this one and remembered the important stuff. The only negative was that is didn't really have the romance element anymore, but that had a lot to do with the dark stuff that happens. Let's just say Zeus being Zeus.
I was not expecting that part at all, but it led to a killer ending, figuratively and metaphorically, because one of the baddies dies.
I though this was the last book in the series, but there is gonna be one more. And she was given more reasons not to kill Zeus, as if keeping Citri alive wasn't enough. All the elements from previous books is starting to come together, and she even learned how to weave souls together in this one.
I'm looking forward to the next book.

New take on underwater life
Revisado: 11-08-21
This book is so different from any sci-fi book I've read, and I really liked it. There's lots of little side romances too, and I don't who she is going to wind up with. are so many secrets her and her crew are trying to unravel about the school they have gotten into. there are clones in this book, underwater sea travel, and even teleportation. the strangest part for me was not knowing if the characters were more people or if they were humans in a dystopian world where humans live under the sea because they did have certain communities that were above water and then they had communities in the water there's also ships that are called stingrays as well as actual stingrays so I did get a little confused but overall I really enjoyed the story even if I didn't exactly know everything that was going on.

So I heard this one was very different for the author. Well, I loved it! I like that you get all three pics and see why Alone put up with what she did and how twisted Asa was and yet still believable. He had a sucky upbringing. It doesn't excuse his actions, but it did provide reason for how he got to be such a villian. This just makes me want to read all her books. I like the pull and mental conflicts because she writes her characters so well.

first read from this author
Revisado: 12-21-20
the narration was amazing. it really made the book. though the book is well structured and the words beautiful, I feel it wouldn't have kept my interest if I had read it physically rather than listen to it by audiobook. the pacing is somewhat slow and that there's not much happening however Mysteries are very difficult to write and this one was laid out very well. I didn't know who the killer was up until the point when the main character did, though I do think I suspected at one point and then it was quickly dismissed due to her red herring. my favorite part of the book wasn't actually the mystery. my favorite part were all the scenes with Tilly and Ian. I'm a sucker for romance. and I really did enjoy the ending of this one. definitely an interesting read, and I would like to listen to more audiobooks by the narrator and read more books from this author.

Historia
Magic shoes, family problems, and a midnight deadline.... How much do you really know about Cinderella’s fairytale? Ella always knew she’d marry for love or not at all. She wanted nothing less in a marriage than the obvious affection she witnessed between her father and her stepmother, Iris. But when her father disappears and Iris sinks into depression, Ella cuts herself off from the rest of the world as she struggles with her own emotions, a disgruntled stepsister, and an overwhelming workload.

Friends to Lovers Cinderella Story
Revisado: 09-19-19
I love the new take on Cinderella. Her prince charming is a childhood friend who happens to be the prince. She's the only girl, or anyone really, who sees him as who he is and hates spotlight as much as he does. It isn't until their teens that they realize they want more than friendship, but tragedy strikes, upending Ellas world.
I also love that the stepmother isn't cruel, thought the daughters most certainly are. She goes into a depreasive state, and Ella is worried that could be her future if she doesn't protect her heart.
The prince needa to marry, but Ella doesn't want to be the future queen. He'd do anything for her, even break tradition to wait for her, but for how long without losing the trust of his kingdom.
In a last ditch effort, he sends people out on a mission that could fix what has been broken.
I love that this book has traditional elements such as the lost shoe, fairy godmother, and death, but puts a twist on them all so that you know what's coming but not how. This book was funny and sad and unforgettable. The characters go through so much and the story covers several years. There's also mages and a glimpse into another deminsion that makes me want to read the next one. I listened to the audiobook version and enjoyed it
If you like fairytales with happy ever afters that take a while to get to and keep you rooting for it to happen, I highly recommend this one.

Historia
Lin-Manuel Miranda's groundbreaking musical Hamilton is as revolutionary as its subject: the poor kid from the Caribbean who fought the British, defended the Constitution, and helped to found the United States. Fusing hip-hop, pop, R&B, and the best traditions of theater, this once-in-a-generation show broadens the sound of Broadway, reveals the storytelling power of rap, and claims our country's origins for a diverse new generation.

Not horrible but not entertaining
Revisado: 08-18-17
It was fine, but there is no music in the audio if that's what you're hoping for. This is just boasting about the show's production and it's success. Very little about Hamilton either.
