I am an engineer and very left brain oriented. I have recently felt that developing my creative thinking would allow me come up with new solutions to problems I face at work. When I found this book it seemed to be a good place to start. I looked forward to hearing about exercises that I could do daily to develop these skills. The book started off great, however, just a few chapters in it turned from a creative focus to finding happiness in your life and your inner self. This would become the central theme. While in the authors view the two and linked, I really wasn’t looking for a self help, kumbaya book. I definitely picked up a few ideas that I can use going forward but would not have spent the credit if I knew what I know now.

Obviously no one can tell you what your calling is, however, was hoping this book would be more profound. I wanted thought provoking questions to improve my self awareness so that I can figure out what I truly want out of my career. Unfortunately it felt very high level to me…what are you good at? Passionate about? Etc. I finished it just because I spent the credit and it was short. Reading it at least meant I set aside time in a busy schedule to think about what I want from life. There were not many take always for me though.

The narrator talks fast but otherwise was good.
