Historia
Zachary Quinto - best known for his role as the Nimoy-approved Spock in the recent Star Trek reboot and the menacing, power-stealing serial killer, Sylar, in Heroes - brings his well-earned sci-fi credentials and simmering intensity to this audio-exclusive novella from master storyteller John Scalzi. One day, not long from now, it becomes almost impossible to murder anyone - 999 times out of a thousand, anyone who is intentionally killed comes back. How? We don't know.

Eve Allerthorpe, eldest daughter of a grand but somewhat eccentric Yorkshire-based dynasty, is greatly distressed, as she believes she is being haunted by a demonic Christmas spirit. Some of the brightest minds have seen their fair share of darkness.
Revisado: 11-03-23
Holly does not dwell or feel sad thinking about her repressive and sad childhood. She remembers, but it is always done positively, when she feels relief at it being in the distant past or when she is compared it to her current life which, as an adult, she consciously created and filled with colleagues who respect her and friends who love her. She treats the relationships around her as priceless, because she knows how crucial they are to a meaningful and happy life, the exact opposite of her lonely and isolated childhood.
It is great to watch how Holly’s character has naturally evolved over time. How she has learned that traits once painfully perceived as flaws by others during her youth have been magically transformed into her “superpowers.” That these superpowers are a largely the reason why Holly is successful as an investigator, having achieved multiple big wins in a short period of time.
Holly’s is the type of person you want to befriend. She has a magnetic personality driven by her unusually optimistic belief that things will all work out. That you can find your place in this life and find your true calling (if they put in the work). This upbeat theme throughout the story balances the otherwise sad and gruesome nature of Holly’s investigations. King masterfully sums it up using only two words — “Holly Hope.”
The stories are always riveting. While sometimes defined as horror or supernatural, King really tells stories of everyday people and their strength in the face of great adversity.
