Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

I really enjoyed this audiobook both for the story and narration. I was sad for it to end. Weir has definitely found his niche!

Loved the book. Most of her others ones are hilarious but this one adds all the other emotions. I really appreciated this raw and emotional story.

This book was amazing! I'm recommending it to all my friends. the story is complex and amazing.
The narrator has become one of my new favorites. She did such a good job that I chose my next book because she's narrating.

Historia
Born to survivalists in the mountains of Idaho, Tara Westover was seventeen the first time she set foot in a classroom. Her family was so isolated from mainstream society that there was no one to ensure the children received an education, and no one to intervene when one of Tara’s older brothers became violent. When another brother got himself into college, Tara decided to try a new kind of life. Her quest for knowledge transformed her, taking her over oceans and across continents, to Harvard and to Cambridge University.

this was an amazing story. It made me cringe, angry, sad, frustrated, hopeful, pretty much every emotion! This gave me a deeper understanding that I should know someone's story fully before judging them. I highly recommend :)

Historia
Barbara Sher shows you how to rediscover the inspired, enthusiastic adventurer you wanted to be before you became the responsible adult you had to be. According to Sher, it's never too late to start over. In fact, midlife is the perfect time to do so, a time when dreams for the future and experiences of the past finally come together. "The second life", as Sher calls it, can be even better than the first. More important, it would have been impossible to make these crucial realizations until now.

More of a quarterlife here but still relevant
Revisado: 10-30-18
I'm 33 not 40 but still many of the topics applied to me. I found this pretty inspiring and liked how it provided motivation for people who are older but not "old". Most books are for people in their 20's or retired but this provides something for those inbetween. Also I don't have kids and liked that this book wasn't all about kids or life after kids. There were parts where kids are mentioned but the book isn't centered around it.

The original radio version
Revisado: 04-24-18
The last chapter is about how this radio show first came to be (yup, I didn't know it was a radio show first either). At first I was annoyed that I had to listen to an hour about the making of this "book" to finish it, but I actually enjoyed that part. it was interesting that a lot of it was written the day it was due. Overall I really enjoyed the book. My only criticism is that some of the sound effects are very loud. I found myself having to turn up and down the volume a lot during my listen

Not what I expected but in a good way
Revisado: 02-27-18
I thought this might be one of those tough to relate to books but still have a few good tips in it so it would be worth the read. Instead I found the whole book worthwhile. I loved the realness and cursing. It doesn't oversell meditation and shows how it takes time and practice. It does however tell you that all the hard work is worth it :)

felt like a conversation with a friend
Revisado: 10-29-17
I found this book really funny and truthful! Whoopi should read more audio books. she brings life to her words. It felt like she was just talking to a friend not reading a book. I loved that this book about relationships pushed for women to think outside the box. Women don't need to be with someone to be happy and it was nice to hear someone else say it!
