Too much unnecessary detail

The story drags on with way too much filler and every confrontation is over the top with the unnecessary certain death of the main character only to be saved the last second in every fight. I like the premise of the story but damn, lets not have every situation be unwinnable except for a miracle. Not sure I will continue this series

Very disappointing

I like most of the stories that have J N Chaney as one of the authors but this one is more annoying than interesting. I get tired of the human as the least technologically advanced being becomes the leader of a rag tag group of displaced escapees from other planets. Not only that but he leads the group against a powerful enemy with no weapons. As with many of the books, the lead character is a smartass and a lot of filler is spent on useless banter. I just can't recommend this series.

Nice to see an author that doesn’t slant the politics to the left as almost every other author does. This was one of those stories that grabbed you early and held on to the end. Well done👏👏

Disappointed

I have listened to the entire series including the spin offs and found them to be fun to listen to but it feels like the author just mailed it in on this final book. So much filler and not much substance. Hearing that everything is impossible and they are going to die at every turn and there is nothing they can do about it gets old. Too many stories left untold. Oh well, too bad the series couldn't find a way to move forward in a more positive way.

Love the series starting with Omega Force. This IMO was the best yet. Can’t wait for the next book in the series. 👏👏👏👏

Of all of Chaney’s different space operas, this is by far my favorite and the narrator is outstanding.

Too much like Star Wars

I am listening to Star Wars all over again. I stopped listening about halfway through but thought I would give it another chance. Bad guys have the best weapons and a mage or warlock who can snap necks with a gesture. I am done with this series. Narrator was outstanding though

Enjoyable

I have bought every book in this series and have enjoyed the story. I am tired of Bishop acting like a backwoods hick. By now he should be a true leader and not someone always apologizing about everything. There is still way too much describing every detail and a lot of rambling that slows the story down. Time for skippy to decide whether he is a friend or just an asshole. JMO
