Frustrating storyline and main characters

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

More realistic main characters with plausible reactions to storyline situations. The billionaire business man/mayor was as bright as a blown light bulb.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Unsurprised, figured it out fairly early.

What didn’t you like about Annabelle Warren’s performance?

I believe she needs more practice, especially on the male characters. Her voice is too feminine and high pitched for the deeper male voices.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Frustration and irritation that the author had non plausible reactions/conversations for the main male character that just didn't make sense to the situation.

Any additional comments?

Think more about real life reactions from a mayor that is coping from bigoted terrorist. I don't believe he/she would be laid back in that type of situation and would have a higher intelligence if they were such a successful businessman.

Kane for sure. I love his sense of humor.

A different narrator!

Wow, what a disappointment

This story was unbelievable from start to finish. Not to mention it contained about 75% sex scenes. Why publish a novella without any actual story content? I'm sorry to say this was a big let down. However, the narrator was great as always. If not for him, I wouldn't have even tried to finish the book.

Lindsey is Childlike and Weak to the Point of

No, not really. Lindsey's character is so weak with NO backbone at all. She is childish, but suppose to be married to two senators.

Yes, like her other books

For the sake of audio book fans, please change the narrator for this series. I'm sorry but she is ruining the readers enjoyment.

The premise for the storyline is good, but I'm constantly cringing from the narrator's performance.

He needs different voices for each character. Definitely needs to work on female character voices.

I understand that Anders and Decker wanted to get Justin back for giving them a hard time while courting their lifemates. But to purposely sabotage his chances after finding out she's married and determined to stay with her husband. They could have caused him his lifemate.

Much better narrator!

This series has gotten increasingly better with each book. I wasn't even sure if I liked the series in the beginning, but I'm very glad that I continued listening. Most of all, I love this narrator. The last gave me a headache with all the screaming into the microphone.

Good Book But Please Stop the Shouting!

The series is getting better but the constant shouting has got to stop. Normally, narrators pull back from the microphone when raising their voice, not shout directly into it. I have a constant headache while listening to this series.

Narrator should stick to male characters only

The writing was mediocre. This is definitely young adult not what I would classify as fantasy romance. The narrator has a nice voice, but he should really steer clear of doing female characters. It was painful to listen.
